TOUGH TO COMPETE AGAINST BARACKOBAMAMANIA But I'll keep plugging. We got word from Harper Collins that Somebody's Gotta
Say It will debut No. 2 on the New York Times bestseller's list. That would be
the list that comes out in a few weeks. No way I'm going to complain about that,
especially when I'm competing against a presidential campaign. I want to say a special thanks to my friends in Aggieland, College Station,
Texas, for the tremendous turnout last night! There were two crucial basketball
games last night, the men's and woman's basketball teams playing the University
of Texas. The Aggie roundball teams are at the top of the Big 12 heap ... and
there were mixed emotions when it was all over. The women BTHO the Teasips while
the men lost by 5 points in double overtime. Still we had hundreds show up for
our book signing. We'll be doing the show from my broadcasting alma mater, WTAW,
this morning .. then it's off to Las Vegas for a signing tonight at the Station
Hotel and Casino! By the way .... there's a broadcasting studio right smack in
the middle of the Station Casino ... and you can drag your weary selves over
there on Friday morning to watch me do the show if you wish. We start at 5:30
Pacific Time and will end at 10:00 ... and then its off to Grand Junction,
Colorado!
Again ... I want to thank you for the reaction to the book. I guess I know I did
a good job when people who profess their deep felt liberalism still tell me they
found the book an enjoyable read. MORE BOOK SIGNINGS! Ok ... here's the schedule for the rest of the week:
Thursday 3/1, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tonight we'll be signing books at casino...the Sunset Station Hotel & Casino at
7pm. Remember, buy your book before you hit the tables, okay? Friday
3/2, Grand Junction, Colorado. Friday night you'll find me signing books at
the DoubleTree Hotel, 743 Horizon Dr. at 7pm.

TERRORIST APPEASERS TRY AGAIN
Democrats aren't giving up yet on their anti-war proposals...now they have a new
one over in the House. The latest piece of legislation would not cut off funding
for the troops, but would
require the president to acknowledge the military is
overburdened. Huh? These people don't know when to quit, do they? How about
passing a resolution banning anymore resolutions about the war? One thing's for
sure, if Osama really is alive and living in Pakistan...he must be pleased with
his Democratic supporters.
What is the point of all this? There isn't one. When it comes to war, the power
of the House of Representatives is clear: they hold the purse strings.
Again...if the Democratic majority on Capitol Hill really believes that the war
in Iraq is a mistake, then cut off the funding. Otherwise, sit down and shut up.
While they're doing everything they can to undermine the commander-in-chief,
this country is trying to win the war on terrorism.
It sure makes you wonder just whose side some of these liberals are on.
MCCAIN OFFICIALLY RUNNING
John McCain announced on David Letterman last night that
he's running for
president. He's long been considered the front-runner in the GOP....but not
anymore...not since Rudy threw his hat in the ring. And here's a trivia
question: in the last 100 years, how many presidents have we elected straight
from the United States Senate? Two...Warren Harding and JFK. That doesn't bode
well for the Senator from Arizona. Dick Morris says McCain has about $500,000 in
his account, and he's announcing?
McCain is the new Bob Dole...always running for the White House, but never quite
getting there. In an age where we get our presidents from the governor's
mansions and the vice president's office, the deck is stacked against McCain.
Also, if elected, he'd be older than Ronald Reagan was when he was sworn in.
Like it or not, age is a factor the public considers when selecting a president
of the United States.
But McCain also has some other problems. He holds unpopular
positions...including one in favor of a guest worker program and continuing to
do nothing about illegal immigration. Not to mention the hypocrisy of running
away from his own campaign finance legislation. It's going to be an uphill
battle. In fact ... it's going nowhere. You folks have all the fun with McCain
you want. He is not going to be the Republican nominee.
THE NORKS PULLING A FAST ONE
The Bush Administration has started cozying up to The Gargoyle in a major way.
According to media reports, we're going to start unfreezing North Korea's
assets. Since they announced they'll be
getting rid of their nuclear program.
They said they would....we should believe them, right? Nope...the Norks have
played us for fools before.
This has all played out before...beginning in 1994. Remember that? Jimmy Carter
to Pyongyang to negotiate with the insane dictator himself, without the
blessings of the Clinton Administration. An agreement was hammered out: The
Norks would shut down their nuclear reactors in exchange for money and fuel.
Almost the minute the future Nobel Appeasement Prize winner let the tarmac, Kim
Jong-Il rolled that agreement up and set it on fire. But the Clinton
Administration wasn't done yet.
No, it was time again in 2000 to try and convince The Gargoyle of the evil of
his ways. So he was rewarded with a state visit from Madeleine Albright. More
negotiations, more agreements...all broken. So now we've had these six-party
talks...and once again, North Korea is promising to get rid of its nukes...in
exchange for whatever.
And the same thing will happen this time, just as before. We don't know when to
quit, do we?
LISTENERS' BOOK
REPORTS Hey, what happened to the hate mail about the book? It seems to
have dropped off. See what you people can do about that. Jackie: Hi Neal, I'm a big fan of your show and I check your website
every single day. I ordered your book several months ago so I could
get an autographed first edition and when it came the other day I
read it immediately. I have all 3 of your books and think they are
right on the money. The problem, however, is that the people who
NEED to read these books are the ones who won't touch them or even
listen to us. I know some diehard democrats who start off angry and
defensive and you just can't reason with them about anything.
Everything is confrontational with them, there's no intelligent
discussion and sharing of ideas and information. I wish there was
some way we could get those stupid damn democrat voters to pay
attention. Keep up the good work. Jerry: I don't agree with everything you say, but I bought your book and
I want to buy many more to distribute them to people who might read
it. I am a reader and have a library of books, but yours is a
treasure. I am an old Army retiree and all I can say is I'd like you
in my foxhole. I hope you don't mind if I say prayers for you. Cindy: I am the Lady that brought her teenage daughter to the book
signing last night. (Dallas?) I just wanted to tell you how excited
she was that you spoke to her and that she really thought you were
funny and interesting. She text messaged all her friends to tell
them she met a very famous author and how interesting you were to
listen to. I think you have a new fan. I told her that you agreed
with the way I feel about government schools; she said "I should
have told him that I was home schooled". I said " yes you should
have, he would have loved to hear that". Just thought you might want
to know what an effect you had on my 15 year old daughter. Ed: Neal, I bought the book yesterday and started reading. I'll admit
I didn't agree with you at the time on the Terri Schiavo issue while
it was in the news. After reading your chapter in the book with your
response to the Godfather on why you wanted her to die, I have to
admit I was wrong. Keep up the good work! Drive the left even
crazier than they already are!

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK
Aww, that's so sweet! Rednecks can be
soooo romantic. More in the Redneck Scrap
Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS
Catastrophe brings traffic to a standstill.[flash] Don't laugh...this could
happen! So where is Osama Bin Laden these days?
According to the CIA, he's in Pakistan establishing new terrorism training
camps. So now that we know where he is, perhaps we can find him. Then
again, Pakistan is a big place. At least we have some idea.
It's really starting to seem more and more like
Al Gore may really do it....he may change his mind and run for president again.
That would be something. Come on, Al...go ahead and do it. Then we'd have
ourselves a three-way race between Hillary and Saint Obama.
The lawsuits are flying in Santa Rosa, California
after one student allegedly made statements being interpreted as hate speech.
So now the speech codes have made it from higher education down to high school.
So much for the First Amendment.
You may have heard there is controversy down at The Bank of America over that
financial institution's decision to open accounts for illegals without a Social
Security number. It turns out they're not the only ones.
Some companies are starting to even accept Mexican documentation.
John Edwards is doing what Hillary Clinton won't do: apologizing for his 2002
vote authorizing the war in Iraq. Ultimately, though it may not do him much
good...he's in a very distant third place after The Hildabeast and Barack Obama.
But he's sorry he voted for the war.
Remember that Mexican drug smuggler that was shot by those two Border Patrol
agents that are now doing time for it?
Now we're learning that after he got immunity from the U.S. Attorney's office,
this fine, upstanding citizen stashed 750 pounds of marijuana in a van in the
United States.
There seems to be a problem with all of the major candidates running for the
2008 Republican nomination.
Robert Novak says there really isn't a true conservative among them. He
surveys the landscape and reviews some of the lesser-known candidates.
Those in Congress who complain about authorizing the war in Iraq and then having
things turn out the way they did seem to have short memories.
Victor Davis Hanson notes that in 1999, Congress would not approve the bombings
in Serbia after they had already started.
Former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and former Speaker of the House Newt
Gingrich say the race in 2008 should be civilized...sort of like the
Lincoln/Douglas debates. They note that those debates took place exactly 147
years ago...and were very civilized.
Ann Coulter looks at the real agenda of the environmental extremist Left.
She says if the global warming crowd gets its way, we can expect the economy to
grind to a halt and their real agenda to take hold: starvation and human
devastation. Entertaining and informative as always. Looks like I
touched a nerve with Jay York of Wichita on global warming. Scroll down when
you get there...it's fun! |
