Tuesday 3/6, Alpharetta, Georgia. Find me at Barnes & Noble, Mansell Crossings at 7pm.

Official airline of the Boortz Book Tour

Later next week, we'll head back up to New York City. I'll detail my media appearances as they're confirmed. View the complete book signing schedule.
I've been on the Somebody's Gotta Say It book tour for just short of two weeks now ... with about five weeks to go.  In the past 12 days we've been to New York City, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Orlando in Florida, Dayton, Ohio, Houston, Dallas, Austin and College Station in Texas, Las Vegas and tonight we'll be in Grand Junction.  Tomorrow night I'll enjoy dinner with friends at the Game Creek Club on the slopes of Vail, Colorado .. and then it's AirTran Airways home from Denver.  Next week we hit New York City again to put my ugly mug on some more TV shows ... and to let Hannity buy me dinner at del Friscos.

You can look at the remaining schedule here ... and there are still cities to add.  But right here, right now I want to stop the merry-go-round for a second and thank you folks.  You, the listeners to my radio show and those who have purchased and read Somebody's Gotta Say It.  Day after day I spend sitting in a studio raising hell, informing, offending and hopefully entertaining people.  I talk to you, but I never see you!  That is one of the beauties of this book tour.  Night after night I get to see the people who listen to Royal, Belinda and myself on the radio, and day after day I get to see the people at my affiliates who allow me a few hours of their air time every day, and who absorb the slings and arrows --- and sometimes kindness --- from listeners.

Tiring?  Oh yeah.  You get up in the morning, go to a strange studio, (well, strange to you anyway), try to do a good job with the show in unfamiliar surroundings, rush to the airport for a new destination, from the airport to the hotel to another book signing, off to bed, up the next morning, and do it all again.  Not one afternoon or evening where I wasn't scheduled in two weeks ... but I'm lovin' every moment!

Now is a good time to tell you how much this all means to me.  I've truly enjoyed each and every person who has stepped up to have their book signed ... even those with a snide comment uttered under the breath. Hey ... they wouldn't have that snide comment if they weren't listening.   Thank you so much for being there ... and I hope to keep you informed, infuriated, happy, angry and entertained for many  years to come.

Oh .. and about your reaction to my book.  Now that I'm putting this into writing and posting it on the Nuze things will change ... but I am so gratified by the wonderful comments I've received from those of you who have read Somebody's Gotta Say It.  If there have been any nasty comments, Web Guy has hidden them from me, and that's not his style.  He loves sharing the nasty stuff with me.  I've been working on Somebody's Gotta Say It for two years now ... even before The FairTax Book, and I can't tell you how good it makes me feel that so many have enjoyed the book so much.  The book is actually around 100,000 words ..... and there were about 60,000 words we left out!  Does that mean I'll want to do this all over again in about two years?  We'll check in on that after the tour.

TONIGHT ... GRAND JUNCTION!

The listeners in Grand Junction hold a special place in my heart.  A few years ago the folks in charge at KNZZ decided to drop my show and put my friend Tony Snow on the air.  The listeners showed their dissatisfaction with the move in no uncertain terms, and the decision was reversed.  So .... the listeners took care of me -- I take care of them.  Grand Junction is always a stop on any Boortz tour.  I fully expect close to 1000 people there this evening for our event!

NEXT WEEK ... ATLANTA AND BACK TO NEW YORK

I have book signings in Atlanta on Monday and Tuesday night.  Wednesday afternoon I head to New York City for appearances on Hannity & Colmes, Cavuto and Paula Zahn.  Next Friday night ... one week from tonight ... they somehow forgot to schedule me for anything.  We'll work on that.

HORRIBLE ACCIDENT IN ATLANTA

While preparing for the show out here in Las Vegas I was listening to the coverage of a horrendous accident in Atlanta on my flagship station, Atlanta's News Talk 750 WSB.  A tour bus carrying members of the Bluffton (Ohio) University baseball team crashed very near downtown Atlanta.  Six passengers were killed.  Many wounded.  There will, of course, be an investigation.  I don't know if the bus driver survived.  My guess is that we're going to find out that it was the design of I-75 and the exits from the HOV lane will be found to be the fault of this tragedy.  I include this in the news to laud my colleagues at WSB for their coverage this morning.  There is no finer radio news team anywhere in the nation.

AL GORE AND AIRPORT SECURITY

You've heard by now that some American Airlines employee helped OwlGore to go around the TSA security check at the Nashville Airport.  Gore folks are saying that the violation was "inadvertent."  Horse squeeze.  Al Gore is the former Vice President of the U.S.  He ran for president.  He has this whole global warming thing all figured out.  He has and Oscar ... all this and he doesn't know that everybody ... and that means Oscar winners ... must go through airport security when boarding a commercial flight?  Sorry ... I'm not buying it. What we have here is just another politician -- and it's common to Democrats and Republicans -- trying to exercise their privileges.  Glad he got caught.

THEY JUST CAN'T HELP THEMSELVES

Democrats on Capitol Hill are thinking about cutting about $20 billion from Bush's funding requests for the Iraqi front in the war on Islamic fascism.  The Democrats don't have the guts to just stand by their rhetoric and cut off funding totally .. so they'll be content to short-change our troops just a little bit.  I'm sure the men and women in our armed forces, and their families, appreciate the support. Oh wait, they changed their mind. I wonder what their next move will be?

UNION PAYOFF

The House Democrats delivered their big-time payoff to the goonions yesterday.  They passed a bill through the house that advances the cause of union intimidation techniques and sacrifices workers not inclined to join unions to the abuses of union organizers and pro-union colleagues.  This is absolutely shameful.  If this bill were to become law workers would no longer be allowed to express their feelings on organizing their workplace in private.  This anti-worker bill is expected to run into trouble in the Senate.  Bush has said he would veto it ... but recent experience would indicate we can't count on that.

OK ... GOTTA HEAD TO THE STUDIO

We're actually broadcasting from a radio studio smack in the middle of the Sunset Station Casino here in Las Vegas.  Sorry that I don't have time for reading assignments.  Hey ... my show starts at 5:30 a.m. Vegas time.   See you on the radio.

LISTENERS SOUND OFF ON SOMEBODY'S GOTTA SAY IT!

Doug:

What is the deal with the hat, brother? Are you Marlin Perkins? Wear the chrome dome with pride. Good Book - Great show - Huge Fair tax Fan. Glad to see you debut at #2 behind Obama. That means you will be #1 next week. Pitty (sp?) us all if your head gets any bigger.

David:

You are really boring these days ....... all you do is hype the new book and talk about your hither & yon book signing parties ........... Loser

Mike:

Keep right on promoting your book. There are a number of things that some folks seem to overlook. First: it is your show. Granted, someone is paying you (well, I hope) to do this show, but it is yours. Second: the show, and by extension, your books, are how you make a living. What is wrong with promoting one's self in order to make a living? It is called 'capitalism' and folks in this country have been well served by it. You don't do the show or write books solely for the edification of the masses. You do it because people listen, they buy books and you make a living. Where is the problem? Third: You don't need a third reason. The first two are enough.

Keep up the good work. While you may be wrong (opinion) from time to time, you do entertain and you do stimulate the thought processes. The stimulation part is probably what infuriates most of the rather strong responses.

I will close by saying "I am EVER going to listen some more"

Don:

Neal, obviously you used a proof reader who went to Government schools. This is the second error I've caught for you to correct for the next printing. On Page 130, 4th line, 3rd word. (routs)??? I believe it should be "roots". I'm halfway through the book and love every minute of it. Your chapter on Government schools is very provocative!

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK

Did you know golf was such a rednecksport? Or not a sport at all, if you ask George Carlin. More in the Redneck Scrap Book.
