BOORTZ IN SAN FRANCISCO!
Look out San Francisco...here I
come! The Neal Boortz Show starts on KTRB 860 AM TOMORROW March 15th! |
ANOTHER
MANUFACTURED "SCANDAL"
Planned for the show today:- U.S. Attorneys "Scandal"
- Media ignores Libertarian presidential run
- Americans think we're not winning
- Mexico lectures the U.S.
- Hate mail from bigots
- Chemtrail nutcases
- Positive emails
| Democrats have
succeeded in manufacturing another non-scandal in Washington. Supposedly
AG Alberto Gonzales is supposed to resign because of
the firing of some U.S.
Attorneys by the White House. These are political positions, folks...they
serve at the pleasure of the president. He can fire some or all of them
anytime he wants. It wasn't a big deal when Bill Clinton fired all of his
... just when the Whitewater investigations were gaining some steam. Did
the mainstream media have a problem with Clinton's totally unprecedented firing
of all U.S. Attorneys? Nope .. not a bit. The media was on board.
But
... anytime they
can portray the Bush Administration in a negative light, the press is going to
be on board with gusto. And to think some people believe there's no such
thing as media bias.
So what is all the fuss
about? It goes like this: the White House had heard some complaints about
certain U.S. Attorneys. Many of the complaints had to do with the failure
of these U.S. Attorneys to pursue some voter fraud cases. Eight U.S.
Attorneys were fired, and Democrats are whining about how it was
handled...saying they were "misled." This is a favorite word of
the left when it comes to inventing scandals...just say you were misled.
But when you have a
Democratic Party devoid of any real political ideas or solutions and a willing
media in need of programming for their 24-hour cable networks, this
"scandal" will live on. Perhaps the real scandal here is the
question of why some of these now-fired U.S. Attorneys had refused to
investigate Democrat voter fraud in their jurisdictions.

ALL HAGEL .. NO PAUL The media was abuzz yesterday over a press conference to
be held by Nebraska Republican Senator Chuck Hagel. The general
expectation was that he was going to announce that he was running for
president. The general expectation was wrong. The press conference
was really called to say that he wasn't really sure whether he was going to run
or not. Hagel says he'll have another news conference sometime in the
future to bring the media up to speed again.
Meanwhile ..
Libertarian Congressman Ron Paul of Texas
(serving as a Republican) announces that he is, in fact, going to run for the
presidency. The media ignores him. Oh well. AMERICANS
THINK WE'RE NOT WINNING
According to a new poll,
a
majority of Americans say we're not capable of winning the war in Iraq.
This proves is that the media's campaign to portray the entire effort as a
failure is working. But really...how could the public possibly have that
opinion? Do people really know what's going on in Iraq? Could the
average American actually give a reasonable explanation as to why they think
we're failing in Iraq? I bet not.
Fifty-four percent say we
won't win in Iraq...only 37 percent think we even could. Of course the
U.S. could win in Iraq. If you put enough troops in that country and
proceed in a no-holds-barred manner to route out those who oppose the formation
of a democratically elected government .. victory would be certain. The
problem is not that we can't win. It's that we don't want to do what we
need to in order to win.
MEXICO
LECTURING THE U.S. AGAIN
George Bush is in
Mexico...and this Mexican president down there is about to get on everybody's
last nerve. He actually had the gall yesterday to
blame the problem of
illegal immigration on the United States. He also whined about the border
fence and said Americans shouldn't do so many drugs. Perhaps we need more
of what he's smoking.
So this character, whose
name is Felipe Calderon, is upset about our 700-mile border fence. If that
makes him upset...I wonder how mad he'd get if we put up a real border
fence...you know, one that is 2,000 miles long. He also complained that he
couldn't reduce drug production in Mexico with demand so high in the States.
The truth probably is that he doesn't want to reduce illicit drug production ...
or can't.
In the face of all of
this rhetoric Bush
was intent on doing all he could to appease those
who enable and promote the Mexican invasion of the U.S.
Addressing El Presidente
directly, Bush said: "In
the debate on migration, I remind my fellow citizens that family values do not
stop at the Rio Grande River, that there are decent, hardworking honorable
citizens of Mexico who want to make a living for their families. And so,
Mr. President, my pledge to you and your government, but, more importantly, the
people of Mexico, is I will work as hard as I possibly can to pass comprehensive
immigration reform." Translation:
OK, here you go: "I will do all I can to secure amnesty for the
Mexicans who have already illegally crossed the border into the United States,
and we'll try to make it easier for more of you to follow."
So once again the Mexican government takes no blame for their weak border
security and the 12 million criminal immigrants invading our country.
Thanks guys. And oh, by the way, when is somebody going to ask the
president of Mexico why so many of its citizens want to leave their country?
Oh, and the Mexican president compared our border fence to the Berlin Wall.
Wrong...the Berlin Wall was to keep people in....we're' trying to keep people
out. Big difference. GIVE BIGOTS A CHANCE
Well ... I sure gave the hate crowd a good excuse to crawl
out from under their rocks yesterday. I knew that I was stepping into it
when I opened my mouth, but proceeded to express my thoughts anyway.
Thoughts on what? Thoughts on the
comments made by the Chairman of the
Joint Chief's of Staff about homosexuals. General Pace thinks homosexual is
immoral. I think that homosexual sex is normal ... for homosexuals ... and
thus is not by definition immoral. It is my firm belief that sexual
orientation is a matter of genetics, not choice .. and that homosexuals are born
that way. In other words ... God created them as homosexuals. Actually, I didn't get as many "I'm never going to
listen to you again" emails as I thought I would. Maybe all the
Pharisees, homophobes and bigots have already fled. Here, though, are a
few for you to enjoy: "I am a long time listener who is jumping ship after today's
program. When an intelligent person such as you makes the statement that homosexuality is not immoral, then it makes me wonder whether it is worthwhile to buy any of your books.
At any rate you have lost this listener and I will try to influence my friends to stop listening or buying books as well.
(Jack Williams)"
Ohhhhhhhhh .... Jack is going to tell his friends not to
buy my book or listen to my program! Hey, Jack! You're a great
American! (Oh, wait. That's another show.) Then there was this email from Randy Morrison: "As a Christian, I can no longer listen to your
show or support you in any way. You will not even consider that you
could be wrong on your views about homosexuality. You defend
homosexuality and tell listeners that if they do not accept it as being OK,
then they are bigots. You can have your own view, but you should not
resort to name calling and insult me for having my view; that God says it is detestable."
Oh well .. there's two listeners gone. Just a few
more shows where I refuse to join in the hatred of those with different sexual
orientations than myself and I'll be able to retire! THE "CHEMTRAILS" PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE AGAIN
I received this email yesterday from Jim:
"Since you are into flying and planes, suppose you explain to the listening audience the difference between contrails and chemtrails, what is in the chemtrails and why the military is spraying us down with this
stuff. It is happening all over Jacksonville,FL lately and people are getting coughs, scratchy
throats and flu like symptoms. Please explain."
OK, Jim. I'll explain. You're a nutcase.
Those "chemicals" you think the military is spraying on citizens are
nothing more than ice crystals formed by the condensation created by high-flying
aircraft. Somewhere along the line some lonely demented hysteric decided
that the military was crop dusting people with all sorts of chemicals designed
to make us sick, change our behavior or neuter us. I have no idea in the
world what went wrong in your education, upbringing or mental health history
that caused you to actually believe this insane nonsense ... I can only hope
that you don't vote. JUST A FEW EMAILS
Web Guy had 67 pages of emails to go through
yesterday. At 25 per page, that gave him over 1,600 emails to look
through. Here are a few he forwarded to my attention.
Self-serving! You bet! Hey .. I printed the "I'm never going to
listen to you again" nonsense, so I've earned these: | Dear Neal, Fairly recently I saw a piece of yours on
RealClearPolitics, this prompted me to buy a copy of your book. Serendipitously you are now arriving on local radio. Great news.
The only downside is that the office, kitchen, living room, bedroom and car radios I use through the day have been glued to KSFO 560 talkradio for years and now I need to figure out how to tune them to 860. Small price to pay.
Welcome to the Bay Area. (Mike) | | I'd just like to say that I am half way through your book "Somebody's gotta say it" and it is genius. I'm a junior in high school, a catholic high school, not a government high school as you like to call them. I agree with practically everything you have mentioned so far in your book. It may be because I am a high schooler who is easily manipulated by what others say, but I don't feel as if that is the case. I completely agree that are government is slowly and subtly turning towards
fascim. That may be a slight over statement, but the general dynamics are there. Keep up the good work and I look forward to another book.
(Ryan) | | I am no bible thumper or a Christian you pig, does your wife know you are a homosexual and you just want to go
(deleted)? Why are you so full of hate against normal people? The truth is you are a pig homosexual, who hates everyone and every time you have a caller on your radio show whom stands up to you about homosexuality all you do is shout them down and kick them off the air. What are you afraid of, that all of you homosexual are WRONG?! Get off the air!
(Tom) | | Just finished "Somebody"s Gotta Say It."
Fantastic! I love the way you pull no punches. I hope it gives the Dem's nightmares.
(Terrance) | | I am looking forward to meeting you next week here on Cape Cod.
I have been a lost republican for many years and have found your no BS ideas have hit home with me and am hoping the book will further my education and help me find my way in this crazy place we call America.
Coming from Vermont and now living in Massachusetts, It's been tough living in oceans of mindless democratic fish that following the school as it finds the easiest feeding grounds and runs in the face of a larger challenge.
I don't know how much you pay attention to MA politics, but it is the biggest embarrassing joke i have ever seen. (I did mention i used to live in Vermont right?)
Keep saying it like it is; good, bad or ugly people need to know the truth weather they know it or not.

Thanks, folks, for the positive comments. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK
Check out this three-wheeler...and
don't miss the counter balance. More in the Redneck Scrap
Book.
READING ASSIGNMENTS Perhaps if one of you out there has the time today you
might want to email this guy and tell him that this
picture he's using on his website is not really me. Goes with the
territory, I guess.
Let's all stop for a moment and think some soft and
pleasant thoughts about Hollywood celeb Jennifer Garner. Global
warming makes her cry. Poor baby. An
entertaining rant from Salon.com and Camille Paglia, especially the part
dealing with Hillary vs. Obama! You've heard that Halliburton is moving much of its
operations to Dubai, right? Tony
Blankley can explain it all to you. Check out FairTax Jack,
a flash cartoon supporting the FairTax.
Hillary Clinton says the vast, right-wing conspiracy is back. What is her
evidence? Something about Election Day phone jamming in 2002 by Republican
operatives. Really...is this the best she can do? Doesn't she have some other
proof to offer?
Al Gore is trying to pull some strings in Congress and reserve the National Mall
for his global warming rock concert this summer. It turns out two other events
already have the area reserved..but that's not stopping Gore from calling Harry
Reid. Isn't this what they call special treatment? Guess not.
Russia continues to be just a wee bit upset about Iran's lack of payment for
their services. In fact, Moscow is warning of "irreversible consequences"
if the Mullahs don't pay up. They'd better watch out, too...enemies of Mother
Russia tend to wind up dead or poisoned.
Congress is considering renewing the "No Child Left Behind Act." People are
now debating whether or not the goals in the legislation are even attainable.
Here's an idea....how about the federal government gets out of the education
business. Just a thought.
Ed Koch, Bush supporter and enemy of Islamic terrorists, has some harsh words
for certain members of the Bush Administration. The former New York mayor says
Alberto Gonzales, FBI Director Robert Mueller and the VA Secretary should all
resign immediately.
Tony Blankley doesn't blame Halliburton for moving its corporate headquarters
to Dubai. After all, if you didn't have to pay taxes, wouldn't you move?
Still, Democrats in Congress want to have hearings on the issue.
The New York Times is held up as some sort of master of journalistic
ethics....but it turns out all is not what it seems at the Times.
Michelle Malkin chronicles the scandal that saw one reporter paying another
source thousands of dollars. Oops.
Dr. Walter E. Williams has long taken exception to the anti-smoking movement.
Today in his column the good professor takes a look at the economics of banning
smoking. Should bars and restaurants be forced to ban smoking? Always a
good read that should not be missed.
If his popularity among conservatives is any measure, former Speaker of the
House Newt Gingrich is back in a big way...and just may run for president of the
United States.
Thomas Sowell looks at the chances of a man who has been out of politics for
quite some time.
Army Corp of Engineers
knowingly installed faulty pumps in New Orleans. Good thing we had a mild
hurricane season last year... |
