9/11 MASTERMIND CONFESSES TO IT ALL

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (a/k/a Ron Jeremy??) has admitted to the 9/11 attacks and a big bunch of other stuff at a military hearing down at Gitmo over the weekend. Perhaps now Democrats and the media will shut up about Guantanamo Bay and the War On Terror not being justified. Or not....the America-haters will say he was coerced. Cheney probably tortured him. So just what has Mohammed confessed to? Well, the list is long...but he did it all.

Aside from being guilty of bedhead and wearing a T-shirt 3 sizes too small, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has copped to the following:

  • He confessed to 29 planned Al-Qaeda attacks, including 9/11. Says Mohammed: "I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z."

  • He confessed to beheading Daniel Pearl...the Wall Street Journal reporter whose head was severed on TV and posted on the Internet.

  • A number of other plots over the years including the 1993 World Trade Center attack, the attempted shoe bombing of a commercial jetliner by Richard Reid, the Bali nightclub bombing in 2002 and so on.

He also confessed to a number of plots that weren't carried out. They included assassinating Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, attacks on the Sears Tower, the Panama Canal and the Empire State Building. Attacks on oil tankers and nuclear plants were also on his list. Oh..and he also says he was tortured by the CIA. I know we're all very sorry that happened...not.

So there you have it...everything Al-Qaeda was going to do, laid out in the open. Think there's no Islamic terrorist threat? Think again. The good news is now that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has told us everything we want to know, we can take him out back and shoot him.

OK .. I'll admit it. This weird beard may have some delusions of grandeur ... and he may just be on a confession binge. So, how long before Ramsey Clark comes knocking to be his defense attorney?

THE SURGE IS WORKING IN IRAQ

Here's some good news: the troop surge in Iraq is working. The killing of U.S. soldiers is way down. You would think Democrats would be happy about this development, but you would be wrong. They have been invested in American defeat in Iraq for quite some time. It doesn't matter how well things are going...we must surrender.

Not only is the killing of our troops way down, so are the deaths of civilians. Since the new operation began 30 days ago, civilian deaths in Iraq are down from 1,440 to 265. That's a huge drop. Murders and executions are off by 50%. Car bombs have decreased as well. And this is without the full 21,500 troop surge in place. Think how well things will be going once we're firing on all cylinders over there.

But don't expect to hear about this from the mainstream media. The press doesn't particularly like to report good news from Iraq. In an effort to elect Hillary Clinton president of the United States, the media will continue to report that the war in Iraq is a failure and that we should surrender immediately. They have bought the lie that the war can't be won...and are intent on convincing the American public of the same.

Maybe somebody could stick a microphone in Nancy Pelosi's face and ask her what she thinks of our new successes in Iraq.

MEXICO RUNNING THE SHOW

Felipe Calderon had his press conference with President Bush yesterday, and it's clear who wears the pants in our relationship with Mexico. Some interesting tidbits came out in the meeting with the media...such as Calderon has family in the United States, supposedly legally. And illegal aliens send $20 billion back to their country from the United States. Hmmmmmm ... I wonder if that's after-tax money? There are also some interesting statistics about the Mexican invasion of America.

One in 10 Mexican citizens lives in the U.S. Repeat ... 1 in 10! Half of the 4 million people that live in Calderon's home state are here in the United States. The $20 billion they send home is second only to oil revenue as the #1 national source of income. Unbelievable. At yesterday's press conference, Calderon lied, when speaking about the illegals: "We want them to come back; we want them to find jobs here in Mexico. We miss them. These are our best people. These are bold people, they're young, they're strong, they're talented." Uh-huh....right. He forgot to add that they're also criminals. All of them. Every single Mexican who illegally crosses into the U.S. is a criminal.

Oh ... and don't forget that these criminal aliens are responsible for about 25 deaths a day in this country .. half by violent crime and half by drunk driving.

If all of the illegal aliens in the United States went back to Mexico (a scenario we can only dream about,) then Mexico wouldn't get the $20 billion, plus Mexico would then have a huge social services problem trying to take care of them. And despite all of this, there stands President Bush at the press conference...agreeing with everything Calderon says. In fact, Bush opposes the border fence and wants to give amnesty to all of the illegals in the United States.

It's now evident that Mexico runs our border policy...not us. The corrupt Mexican politicos tells us to jump...we ask how high. They complain about our border fence, Bush runs down to Mexico City and puckers up. Pathetic.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Insensitive Poll of the Day
An online gaming site is taking bets as to whether or not Heather Mills leg will fall off during her stint on Dancing with the Stars.

Hillary Clinton says she sees some troops still being deployed in Iraq,

even if she wins the White House. And what would these troops be for? To fight Al-Qaeda, keep the Iranians in line, look after the Kurds and train the Iraqi military. But I thought there weren't any terrorists in Iraq? The Hildabeast has done another 180.

John Edwards says global warming is an emergency, is frightening and will make world war look like heaven. Not sure exactly how a polar bear floating on a melting iceberg is worse than world war, but I guess we'll have to wait for greater clarification.

Democrats ran for Congress in the last election vowing to stop the war in Iraq and reverse Bush's tax cuts for the rich. The problem is, they've done neither...or really anything at all. In fact, their new budget includes funding for the war and includes the tax cuts.

The fun is just beginning in this probe of the Justice Department firing of the U.S. Attorneys. The Senate Judiciary Committee is going to subpoena Karl Rove and Harriet Miers. Also on the list will be Alberto Gonzales' fired chief of staff. This should make for some interesting TV watching.

Speaking of the firings, The Wall Street Journal is reminding people that Hillary Clinton should know all about firing U.S. Attorneys. In fact, it was her former law partner Webster Hubbell and Janet Reno that fired all of the U.S. Attorneys in 1993. Every last one of them.

Joe Lieberman, the only Democrat who truly gets the threat that Islamic terrorism poses, says a lot of people have their heads in the sand. Perhaps it's time for the Connecticut Independent to start caucusing with a party that actually shares his views.

Victor Davis Hanson takes a look at whether or not the new General in Iraq
....David Petraeus....really can turn things around. Hanson says Petraeus needs to work fast...there isn't much time. The list of things that need to be done in Iraq is long.

Remember Tom DeLay? Robert Novak points out that the former House Majority Leader has some choice words for Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey in his memoir. In fact, DeLay lets everybody have it...including President Bush and former Speaker Dennis Hastert.

George Will is fed up with states pushing their primaries all together
...to the point that we're basically going to be deciding on the parties' nominees in one compressed national primary. It's going to be March of next year and we'll know who's going to stand for election in the fall. Talk about zero suspense.

Did you know that government regulations designed to save lives actually wind up killing more people than they help? John Stossel says a lot of these laws have unintended bad consequences and he points to a few examples. Always an entertaining read.

The BBC has made a documentary completely criticizing the entire theory of global warming and calling it a swindle. But Thomas Sowell says don't expect to find it on TV here in the United States. This is where the Internet comes in....it is available online.

You know all the controversy surrounding the conditions at the Walter Reed Army Hospital? Ann Coulter brings something up that nobody else is talking about....those conditions are made possible by government bureaucrats that can't be fired, thanks to Democrats.
