UNBELIEVABLE!

OK .. it's 10:00 Monday night and I have to hit the bag ... Tomorrow it's the show in Norfolk and then hit the skies for Charlottesville! But before I bag it I just have to thank the people of Norfolk and Virginia Beach for the stunning turn out at the Virginia Beach Barnes & Noble. The manager was so afraid that the fire marshal was going to show up and ruin all our fun! This easily the among the top five of my book signings. I can only say with any certainty that Jacksonville, Florida was any bigger. Must be something about those Navy towns. So I want to offer my most heartfelt thanks to you wonderful people for turning out the way you did. We sold every single copy of Somebody's Gotta Say It, The FairTax Book, and the Terrible Truth About Liberals, plus all of the audio versions of Somebody's Gotta Say It they had in the store. I'm so honored by your support ... and yes, I will be back in Norfolk for the WNIS Talkfest ... if they invite me!

TONIGHT, CHARLOTTESVILLE!

Tonight we'll be in the ballroom of the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, Virginia! I just know that much of the faculty of the University of Virginia will be there to get signed copies of Somebody's Gotta Say It. That way they can keep them out of the hands of the students! See you folks at 7:00!

THIS MANUFACTURED SCANDAL IS GETTING A BIT TIRING

Now the Democrats are talking about subpoenas for Bush staffers. Democrats couldn't be more thrilled that the media has really glommed on to their manufactured scandal over the firing of eight U.S. Attorneys. That partisan fool Patrick Leahy wants show hearings on Capital Hill.

Hearings for what? There has been no crime here. There has been no wrongdoing. The president is clearly permitted to fire U.S. Attorneys whenever he decides he wants to. He hires them, he fires them. Clinton fired every one of them. That had never happened before. He even fired the U.S. attorney who was in charge of the investigation of his wrongdoings with his pals at Madison Guaranty Federal Savings & Loan. Did Leahy demand hearings? Of course not! Leahy had no desire to manufacture a scandal a crisis in the Clinton administration .. but with an evil Republican in the White house, things are, of course, different.

Leahy and the media are trying to tell us that most Americans are on the edge of their seats virtually every day waiting to get to the bottom of the story with these U.S. Attorneys. NOT SO! If Americans were concerned about these attorneys being fired I would be hearing about it from my callers. I'm not. People don't care.

It's time for Bush to stand his ground. If he gives in to Leahy and crowd on this one ... it's just a matter of days or weeks before the Democrats come up with another manufactured scandal to push to their buddies in the media. Remember ... the Democrat plan is to have some sort of working Bush scandal on the front pages of the nation's liberal newspapers right up to election day 2008.

Here's something for you to ponder. OK ... so the Democrats hate Bush. They've vowed revenge since the 2000 elections. They wanted a selective recount in Florida -- a recount of only heavily Democrat counties. They wanted the votes of our military personnel overseas tossed out. They didn't care that thousands of military votes in the Florida panhandle were lost when the major networks declared the polls closed and Bush the winner with one hour left to vote in the heavily Republican areas of Florida. Bush won ... and the Democrats just can't stand it. They've been dedicated to the destruction of all things Bush ever since --- even to the point of weakening America by working against Bush's efforts to fight Islamic Fascism. Now ... think of how things might have gone with the Democrats scandal-a-week strategy if the mainstream media hadn't been in the Democrats pockets for the past six years!

By the way ... wouldn't it be nice if these Democrats were demanding answers to the mystery of how that $90,000 in cold hard bribery money was found in the freezer of Louisiana Congressman William Jefferson? Oh, wait. Excuse me. I almost forgot. He's a Democrat. When a Democrat takes bribes he ends up on the Homeland Security Committee. When a Republican takes bribes he ends up in jail.

ISLAMIC TERRORISTS

Now putting children inside cars packed with explosives so that they can get the cars past the military check points. When they have the cars in position the adults run like hell, leaving the children behind to be blown to bits when the car explodes. But .. these are Muslims. Remember, they shoot children in the back too. But let's be really careful we don't say anything to offend them. Remember, there is no atrocity that the wonderful, peaceful religion of Islam could possibly commit anywhere in the world that would justify the utterance of just one comment that could be considered offensive to Muslims.

Imagine my surprise as I was wandering aimlessly through my local Barnes & Noble and your book was prominently on display with all the liberal "Bush is the Devil" hamster cage fodder. I regrettably had never heard of you up until that point, so whoever designed the cover of your book should receive extra praise, since it was said cover which drew me in. If you designed it, well you deserve the money you EARNED even more. I have been saying things that somebody had to say for pretty much my whole life, which is why I currently know three humans that like me, and one of them is seven years old; therefore I was happy to find someone who just says what he thinks is right. I don't agree with everything you wrote. If I did, I wouldn't bother writing this email since it would be boring. Suffice it to say, however, I found most of your words both alarming and gratifying at the same time. I don't particularly like your stance on burning the flag, but I don't mind. The principle behind it is one I agree with; I just think that the flag is a viable exception and has a inherently unique role in our culture that other symbols simply should not and could not be involved in. That being said, your argument is a valid one to be sure. Kicking the crap out of someone will just have to do for both of us.

I have signed up for the Boortz Blast and look forward to the first issue I receive. When oh when will you be syndicated in Denver? I would definitely tune in. Of course it's not my fault you're not on in Denver, and the government will take care of it for me, since I really can't be trusted to listen to you and form an opinion without equal time from the Democrat party's host. GORE HEADS TO THE HILL

Al Gore is going to testify today on Capitol Hill about global warming. But already Gore is creating controversy because he had some requests that look an awful lot like special treatment. The VP seems to think the rules don't apply to him. The media fawning begins at 2:30 this afternoon. So just what were Gore's special requests?

For starters, Gore demanded and got a 30-minute opening statement. 30 minutes! Evidently that's not allowed. Then he got a waiver which is allowed him to not have to submit his testimony into the record 48 hours in advance as required. His exemption says he can submit 24 hours in advance. But now we learn that his testimony won't be submitted until today! When you're OwlGore, the rules just don't apply. Must be nice. The media will be there to cover it all...CNN is already hyping it. Never before has a former vice president testifying about the environment gotten such a rock star treatment.

Our mainstream media can't hide its fawning. You'll be able to turn on the TV and see it all. It will be interesting to see what Gore says under oath. And what about the Republicans on the panel? Will they show a backbone and ask Gore some tough questions? Somebody has to bring up the $2,000 electric bill at his Nashville mansion.

They just have to...now that would be entertaining.

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK

I wonder how thrilled Ford is with this endorsement. Warning, a bad word. More in the Redneck Scrap Book.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

An anti-Hillary Clinton Barack Obama ad has been viewed on YouTube over 1 million times...but nobody is taking credit for generating the spot. Obama's campaign says it wasn't them, but one thing is for sure, the image of Hillary as big brother is very popular.

The anti-war Left is becoming increasingly hateful. Michigan Congressman Mike Rogers' office was vandalized by thugs who sprayed red paint on a "Support Our Troops" sign and caused other damage to the property. Some other crazies in Portland, Oregon burned a U.S. soldier in effigy. Nice going, guys.

John Edwards says global warming is an international emergency. Among Edwards' job-killing recommendations: caps on greenhouses and a new global warming treaty. Oh..and about that mansion? Edwards says it's "carbon neutral." Just like Al Gore's mansion, apparently.

Iran is threatening to kidnap U.S. soldiers and feed them to roosters. Why do we tolerate such behavior from the Iranians? Hard to say...but we do. If anybody else were making these threats, it would be considered an act of war.

Alberto Gonzales' support among Republicans is starting to fade. Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo says it's time for the Attorney General to move on, saying his legacy at the Justice Department is not very good.

This is very interesting. Lawyers and an Islamic group are stepping forward to represent.....at no cost, mind you....the passengers who fingered the six imams on the Minneapolis flight last year. That's right...an Islamic group. They say people shouldn't be penalized for reporting their fears.

John Stossel says he is embarrassed by his profession. In particular, he takes issue with the scaremongering of the media. He calls it the Fear Industrial Complex...people that profit by scaring you. And the media is along for the ride.

Former New York Mayor Ed Koch is calling out New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof for his anti-Israel views. He says Kristof's writings resemble former president Jimmy Carter. Koch points out that the Palestinians have created their own "suffering."

Professor Mike Adams seems to have upset a member of the European Human Rights panel. It seems he didn't quite understand that one of his columns was a satire, but Adams is glad to live in a country where satire is allowed.
