Nervous? You bet I am. I really believe this is so important for our country. If you'll read on in Nealz Nuze you'll see that Democrat hero Barack Obama is talking about raising taxes on the rich because they have money they don't "need." That kind of rhetoric ends with the FairTax. Come on, folks. It's not too late. RSVP or not ... we have a place for you!
Why bring up old communist slogans? Communism is dead, right? We pretty much buried it back in 1989, didn't we! Well, you would have thought so, but it seems that some politicians just can't seem to resist dredging up old communist rhetoric when they feel it will help them in the polls. That brings us to Barack Obama. Barack, it seems, is starting to lose ground to Hillary in the latest polls ... and so he is now compelled to pull some typical Democrat tricks out of the bag. Barack is a smart guy. He recognizes a sure winner when he sees one, and he knows winning rhetoric when he hears it. Remember .. this is the Democrat primary process, and that means that candidates have to appeal to the left-wing whacko moveon.org brigade of the Democrat party. Few things make these people happier than acknowledgement of their hatred and jealousy toward the evil rich. Now just how do you curry favor with those suffering from wealth envy? Simple! You seize wealth from the envied and either give it to or spend it on the envious! Now what we're talking about here, of course, is a tax increase on the rich. This is sure-fire stuff for Democrats. There is very little risk to promising to seize even more wealth from the rich ... just so long as you limit your plundering to a very small percentage of those at the top of the income-earning scale. That's why Barack Hussein Obama is now telling us that when he becomes president he is going to raise taxes on the rich ... but only the richest one percent! Bear in mind here that Barack didn't actually use the phrase "raise taxes." Democrats know that they have a somewhat negative image as a party that is in love with the idea of raising taxes. This perception is strong among those who actually become successful enough that they might, at some point in the future, come to be considered wealthy. The marching orders are clear. Democrats are not to talk about raising taxes on the rich. They don't want to do anything to feed into this idea that they're in love with the idea of tax increases. The verbiage to be used by Democrat candidates is very specific. You are not to talk about tax increases, nor are you to discuss raising taxes. The only acceptable phraseology is that you are going to "roll back tax cuts for the rich." Those of you who weren't victimized by government schools might have a hard time believing this, but there are a lot of Democrats out there who actually believe that "rolling back tax cuts for the rich" isn't the same thing as "raising taxes on the rich." Let's try this. Your boss gives you a raise. A year later he's in a bit of financial trouble so he decides that you are going to have to suffer a cut in pay. Let's also say that your boss is a Democrat. He calls you into your office and informs you that he is going to roll back that pay increase he gave you last year:
Wait ... there's more to Obama's rhetoric. Not only does he tell us that he is going to take more money from the rich, but he's going to do it because "they don't need it!' That's right! Obama actually said that it is OK to raise taxes --- er .... excuse me, I meant to say "roll back" the tax cuts for the rich --- because this is money the rich don't need! What have we now learned about Barack Hussein Obama? We've learned that he believes that it is a proper role for the federal government to make some sort of a determination as to how much a specific person "needs." After the level of need is established, it is then perfectly OK in Obama's world to simply seize whatever is left over. Thus we arrive at the great communist slogan I mentioned a while back: "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need." Barack's perfect government would seize property from those who have it, and then redistribute that property based on need. In Barack's world politicians take a long, hard and hungry look at someone who, through hard work and diligence, has managed to amass wealth, and then determine just how much of that wealth that person needs. The remainder is then subject to confiscation. Now, in Neal Boortz's perfect world any politician who dares to suggest that the government should somehow pay the role of determining just how much of a person's personal property they actually "need," and then sets out to redistribute the remainder, is wholly unqualified to serve in any position of public trust or power whatsoever. With this "money they don't need" comment Barack Obama has shown himself to be a gaseous leftist windbag unworthy of consideration to any position of responsibility in this government. Let's cut to the chase: Just who the hell does this anti-capitalist, power-hungry opportunist think he is to suggest that our government should determine what people "need" of their own earnings, and then merrily set about seizing the remainder? With his remarks Obama has shown a complete disdain for the very concept of private property and has dishonored the concept of individualism and hard work. He has demonstrated his believe that we do not, in fact, exist as individuals in this country, but as mere elements of a larger society which we are obligated to serve. Note: Neal Boortz acknowledges that the foregoing item in Nealz Nuze contains criticism of a person who is black by a person who is not black and, as such, constitutes racism and/or hate speech. please see the disclaimer at the end of the reading assignments.
But there is one simple factor that was overlooked. The day before Nancy's tour de appeasement, Kuwait's new minister of education took to the podium and took her oath of office without wearing her veil. For those who may not get it, this was a huge slap in the face for the culture, which has oppressed women for thousands of years. The very next day, Nancy shows up looking meek and humble, donning none other a veil: the symbol of feminine oppression. Now, I am not claiming to be any feminist, but the message that Nancy sent was clear. As the representative (unfortunately) of Western democracy and freedom, Nancy chose to tie herself to the oppressive symbol, rather than stand up for everything that she represents as an American, a woman and representative of Washington. She had a choice when visiting Damascus, and she chose to bend at every will of every powerful man in the Middle East (to gain "peace"?) rather than stand as a free woman. These small gestures mean more, and are more damaging to our efforts than we could ever imagine. Nancy Pelosi didn't even show the courage of Kuwait's new minister of education. Youssef Ibrahim of The New York Sun has a great point:
I've been saying it forever, folks. Reports now conclude that Iran is indeed enriching its uranium, and the technology along with it, on a far larger scale than expected. Of course! Why wouldn't they? Who's going to stop them? After all, they want to wipe Israel off the map, and now all they have to do is kick out the I.A.E.A. inspectors in order to start creating bomb-grade material. And what's to stop them from kicking out the inspectors? Certainly not the U.N., which did nothing to stop North Korea from doing the same just a few years ago. Sanctions have done nothing to threaten Iran, which supplies money, means and weapons for terrorists in Iraq. Right now the White House maintains its non-negotiation stance with Iran, but does Iran really give a flying camel flop? Before, a threat of UN suspension might actually intimidate a country trying to acquire nuclear weapons. Not now. Too many toothless tigers around. Right now Iran is at what we might call "the point of no return." There is no point in suspending Iran because it already has the know-how and capability to create nuclear weapons. The U.N. is off-base, like it always is and now their only goal is to "save face." Well, that's not good enough. Because when it comes down to it, the U.S. will be the only country willing to stand up against Iran, and then the entire world will complain that we can and are willing to do so. But then again ... what if we have a Democrat in the White House when the time comes to act? Are you confident that Democrats will act to protect this country? Are you williing to bet your life on it?
Face it .. the American people have absolutely lost all control of the federal legislative process and their representatives in DC. That would be because (1) most of us are government educated and we have no real idea what is happening to us; and (2) We're more than wrapped up in the celebrity and jock culture. More people care about what is going on with Paris Hilton than what is going on in Paris, France.
So, Paris Hilton is going to jail. Whaaaaa Whaaaaa. You can't believe what Paris Hilton fans are writing to Governor Arnold. One lost soul wrote to say that Paris means so much to today's young people and that she is an island of beauty in an otherwise mundane world. Horsesqueeze. She's a celebrity airhead who with not one skill that could earn her a living in our society ... other than her looks. Pure and simple, this bimbo is a member of the lucky sperm club. So now she gets caught driving with her suspended license. She gets sentenced to 45 days in jail. Then we learn that she may not have to serve her full sentence at all. It seems that the L.A. jails are overcrowded. Besides, her shrink is telling all the world that Paris is emotionally distraught and traumatized. Poor baby. Now it's Joe Arpiao to the rescue! The Maricopa County, Arizona sheriff has offered to house Paris in his female inmate tent city for the full 45 days of her sentence. She could be a part of the female chain gang. You know it won't happen ... but wouldn't it be wonderful! READING ASSIGNMENTS The editors of National Review say that Nancy Pelosi believes that (a) the war in Iraq is already lost; or (b) the war is not worth winning. Just exactly what you would expect from this appeasement Defeatocrat. This essay appeared on a website named the "Buckeye Firearms Association." Ohhhhhhhh! Guns! Gun nuts! Well, if you can get by that infantile reaction, you will enjoy Tim Inwood's "Time for the sun to set on the Culture of Sheep." The states are blaming MySpace for not taking care of its problem with sexual predators. Let's consider a few things. First, MySpace has 65 million users and people expect immediate results? And more importantly, if you have a problem with it, do not let your kid use it. Plain and simple. Parental control. Go figure. Gas prices hit an all-time high. At least we are cheaper than Europe! By the way ... not that this will make any difference to you, but when you adjust for inflation the prices are NOT at an all-time high. Stop the whining. Here's a good one for all of you who want to brush up on the connection between the presidency and the judiciary. Congressman Trent Franks says that the Democrats are crippling our defense capabilities. The Republican debate in S.C. is tonight. According to a poll of S.C. Primary voters, the war in Iraq and immigration are the key issues. Are you kidding me? Runners are complaining about the ability of a fellow amputee athlete. Can't you just let the guy run in peace. Pat Toomey claims to stand for Reagan Republican values of limited government and tax-cuts. Let's hope that other Republicans are on board too (and will actually follow through!). Russia wants to disbar its most notable human-rights lawyer. The reason? She had to leave a conference for her client to tend to her sick child. Mile High Club stuff. Save it for cruise ships. The Great Toledo Mother's Day Brawl. Kids screaming in restaurants. Hispanic girls in Colorado pound a white girl. Will they be charged with a hate crime? Yeah ... suuurrrrre they will. Can you believe this? A professor at the Maricopa County Community College is facing the lost of his job because of an email message. What was in the message that offended the other professors? It was George Washington's "Thanksgiving Day Proclamation of 1789" and a link to the webpage where he found it. At least five college employees filed harassment charges against the professor.
