Two conservative bloggers have finally filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, challenging that Hillary Clinton accepted illegal contributions to her presidential campaign. Hold on! Hillary doing something illegal? Why that's nothing but right wing HATE speech! Everybody knows that Hillary would never do anything illegal! Right?
It's easy to see what is going on here. Deep pocket Hillary supporters are handing out the money to people who barely make above the minimum wage, and then ordering these people to donate that money to Hillary. One cook in a Chinatown restaurant told the New York Post that she was reimbursed for her $1,000 contribution to Hillary. This, as we know, is illegal. I can promise you that if Clinton were running for reelection instead of election, she would be trying to get the IRS to investigate these dishwashers to see if they had some unreported income hanging around out there. The bloggers also charge that she took money from illegal immigrants. That would also be illegal. Once the FEC received the complaint, it will have five days to mail it to the Clinton campaign, which will have 15 days to respond. Meanwhile, Hillary's campaign is still cleaning up from the aftermath of Tuesday night's debate. She is now saying that she is the victim of the "politics of pile-on." I guess she's familiar with pile-ons. That's what she and her henchmen would do to some of Bills bimbos who became a threat. Dick Morris thinks that Hillary's flub in answering questions about giving driver's licenses to illegal immigrants is the moment America really saw the true Hillary. Hillary originally endorsed Governor Eliot Spitzer's plan to give driver's licenses to illegal aliens ... but then found herself backtracking once she realized how unpopular the plan is. Dick Morris says, "It was a Hillary moment and her parsing and mincing of the vocabulary to have it both ways was on full public display. Caught, she retreated, with asperity, to the claim that everybody was playing "gotcha" but, indeed, she had been got!"
OK ... just as second with AFSCME. This is a government employee union. Like so many other union members, these are people who want to be paid more than they are worth to their employer. In this case, though, the taxpayer gets hurt. If an autoworker wants to be paid more in wages and benefits than his work effort is worth, then the automaker suffers. The price of the cars will rise and the consumers can react to those price increases as they see fit. The situation is different with government workers. When they use their power to draw a paycheck that exceeds their worth it's the price of government that goes up, and we don't have a consumer choice when it comes to buying government. We pay whether we like it or not .. we pay because the government has one nifty little power the automaker does not; the power to use force to accomplish its goals. The goal? Take your money. The ultimate weapon? The gun. This is precisely why government workers should not be allowed to unionize. But unionize they do, and the unions are extremely powerful. Virtually all union support goes to Democrats in any given election. Why? Because Democrats can be counted on to grow government .. which means growth in union membership. So ... for the unions, who's their gal? Hillary, of course. Who is going to grow government more than Hillary? A new study released by the Project for Excellence in Journalism and Harvard found that news organizations that claim to be the most "neutral" and "professional" are, in fact, not. Big newspapers, broadcast networks and National Public Radio (paid for by your tax dollars) actually produce more stories that are slanted in favor of Democrats. And get this, online news and talk radio have actually been more balanced. Newspapers and TV broadcasts devoted much more time to covering Democratic candidates compared to Republicans, and the tone of the stories was much more in favor of Democrats. Let me pause here for a second while you get over your shock and awe, then we can move on ...............
The House committee is meeting because "mounting scientific evidence indicates that the growth in wildfires is linked to global warming and that this trend is likely to intensify in the coming decades." I guess they just couldn't find a way to blame the fires on George Bush. Oh, wait! They did, didn't they! Yeah .. good ole Barbara Boxer did that pretty much as soon as the fires started. With global warming, George Bush and Abu Ghraib ... Democrats have something to blame for pretty much anything that happens out there. By the way ... you do know that Hillary's horrendous performance in Tuesday night's debate was caused by global warming, don't you?
Tetley accuses trustees and administrators of breaking the law. Her group, Galveston Alliance for Neighborhood schools, has a history of criticizing the district for reconfiguring its middle schools, closing elementary schools, meeting in illegal executive sessions, refusing to divulge contents of a letter from a civil rights consultant, and for issuing a budget forecast that was off by $10 million. One legal expert says that it is "rare and unlawful" for the district to sue a citizen. Government entities cannot sue for libel. Some call this potential lawsuit an intimidation tactic, and even worse, a great big waste of taxpayer dollars. Tetley says that people are tired of what the government is doing, and that they are going to use our own money to silence us. Our government schools are so pitiful .. it's sad more parents aren't as proactive as Tetley. Once the parents of this country recognize what they're doing to their children, and once these parents start demanding some semblance of school choice, things may begin to change. Clearly, the solution here is for us to seize all oil company profits and use that money to subsidize gasoline for "working families." Then we put the federal government into the business of marketing gasoline in order to keep the evil profiteers out of the picture. Yeah, that ought to work. Next stop, rationing. Remember Hillary screeching "I want to take those profits ..... " REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Need a date for your company's Christmas party? Try these out on the ladies and you should have a date in no time... More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS A federal jury awarded the father of a fallen Marine $2.9 million for compensation for invasion of privacy and intent to inflict emotional distress after an anti-gay Kansas church protested at the Marine's funeral. Now ... let's find everything of value this Fred Phelps creep owns .. and seize it. The vote on Mike Mukasey for attorney general has been set for November 6th, but democratic support seems to be dwindling. It's the torture thing. Yawn. California's sex offenders are having a tough time with new restrictions, so many of them are declaring themselves homeless so that they state has a more difficult time tracking them. La Raza has conducted a new study, which says that the children are suffering from tougher US immigration laws. It says that minors are often left behind when parents are detained/deported. Well, I guess we're just going to have to open our borders. After all, it's for the chilllllldren. The head of the Green Party in Austria (the third largest party) refuses to associate Islam with terrorism. Remember, folks .. the "Green" in this context is another word for "Socialist." We're talking the Socialist Party here ... so don't be surprised that they see Islamic goons as friends rather than foes. British Airways was planning to launch a new airline between Europe and New York ... that was until the FAA threatened to veto any increase in traffic into JFK airport. Dick Morris plays "what if," asking what would happen if the current Iowa polls were the final results. In Pakistan they have now declared a ban on the downloading and storing ring-tones because it is considered an "un-Islamic practice." The lamestream media still hasn't changed its tune. More good news from Iraq is still not "newsworthy" ... at least according to the Washington Post. It's not newsworthy because it doesn't help MoveOn Democrats. The BBC has now had to apologize for one of its radio DJs who said that he could not see black people in the dark. You can see in the dark? This writer says that the "slutification of America" begins with a Victoria's Secret catalogue and their latest promotion of dress-up dolls, aimed at young girls. The ruling party in Russia is trying to lure voters for its upcoming election by giving them free bottles of vodka. More American celebrity pandering to Hugo the horrible in Venezuela. Italy has another bright idea to combat global warming. First it was the prisoners making gelato; now in Rome they are replacing garbage trucks with garbage donkeys. | ||
