So .. this Thanksgiving ... Republicans, thanks for your malfeasance, and thanks for Hillary. By the way ... for those of you in Seattle who agree with your lovely government schools teaching your children that Thanksgiving is a time of mourning for "Native Americans," and for any Indians who might agree ... isn't hating America fun! Get a life .. and if you care about your children, get them out of those hideous government schools. For the rest of you ... have a wonderful week. The corrupt United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has issued a summary for action on climate change. This summary says that "warming of the climate system is unequivocal." Quite odd, really, since the Earth has actually cooled somewhat during the last three years, and considering the fact that there has been no appreciable warming for ten years. The summary also says that "human activity" is behind the problem, and that we're facing "abrupt or irreversible changes" on Earth. Again .. a bit odd, considering that humans are only responsible for about three percent of the carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Now ... I would like for you to read this article from Meridian Magazine. It was written by Orson Scott Card who, by the way, is a Democrat. Card does a good job of exposing the fraud behind much of today's global warming hysteria. Here's another article you might want to read, from Canada's National Post. This one details the work of scientists showing that it is the Sun, not man's actions, that is driving whatever warming might actually be going on. By the way ... you do know that there are many thousands more polar bears now than there were 15 years ago, don't you?
The mainstream media seems eager to accept CAIR as the fuzzy civil rights organization it represents itself to be. I guess it would be politically incorrect to point out all of the CAIR connections with Islamic radicalism ... but what the hell, we'll do it anyway. Perhaps just one quote will do you for now. This is from Omar M. Ahmad, the founding chairman of CAIR. It's a nice, warm, fuzzy little quote ... certainly nothing that should ever cause you the slightest amount of anxiety. Once you've read it I'm sure you'll see that CAIR is certainly nothing to be wary of: So ... in Omar's own words:
Yeah .. these guys are harmless. Just a civil rights organization.
He says, "I think there is going to be a commitment to universal coverage. I don't think it's necessarily going to be a sector by sector process. I think you either need to go in whole hog or not. We tried to sort of squeeze the middle here with doing children and doing seniors, and trying to squeeze it. If anything happens, it would more likely look something like this: you would extend eligibility for children from 200% of poverty to 300% of poverty, and create resources to insure the parents of those children." So .. there you have it, and it was just as I told you it was. From 300 percent of the poverty level to 400, then to 500 ... pretty soon you have everyone under this government "insurance" program which isn't an insurance program at all, but a health care payment plan. Then you have the liberal's precious "single payer" situation ... and the rationing can begin. Come on people ... wake up! This isn't about your health, it's about THEIR power. When these politicians have control over your health care, their control over YOU is perfected.
The Army's School of the Americas was replaced by the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation in 2001 under the Defense Department. It teaches the same courses that are taught to American soldiers, only in the case, the courses are taught in Spanish because the school mostly serves people from Latin America. It teaches Latin American soldiers, police and government officials. Kucinich spoke at a protest at the school at Fort Benning. He says that one of his first acts as president would be closing the school. He says. "The type of thinking that produced this school is the same type of thinking that produced the war in Iraq and is producing a war against Iran." I liked Kucinich better when he was trolling for a mate. Harry Reid has decided that there will be no Thanksgiving this year. He is going to keep the Senate in session over Thanksgiving break in order to block President Bush from making recess appointments while Senators are out of town.
Democrats are afraid that Bush will appoint James Holsinger as surgeon general. Holsinger has been criticized by gay rights organizations. The problem here is that if (not when, but if) the Republicans ever get control over the congress and the White House (not in my lifetime) they'll forget these little episodes and go right back to being lay-downs again.
Muslim workers have to pray five times a day and they want the company to grant them two breaks ... one at 4pm and the other at sunset. Breaks are paid, as long as they are less than 30 minutes, but the law doesn't specify how many breaks there has to be. The solution here is to fire all 54 Muslim workers at the plant. Let them go work somewhere else where the boss is more eager to cave in to their demands. A good government job ought to do nicely. Inch by inch. In ten years we're going to look back to 2007 and 2008 and wonder why we didn't do something to stop this Islamic encroachment into our society when we could. By then it will be too late. When a UK woman tried to immigrate to New Zealand to live with her husband, New Zealand said no way, blubber butt ... The woman is too fat. The New Zealand Immigration Service requires all of its applicants to have a complete medical examination, including body size measurements like "waist circumference." They have these regulations for "budget reasons," because the government health system cannot afford to bring in overweight immigrants. Look .. if the taxpayers have to be responsible for everyone's health care .. then the taxpayers should have a say-so on whether or not to admit unhealthy lardasses into the country. The easy way to handle this would be to narrow down the aisles you have to walk through at passport control. If you can't wedge your fat ass through ... you don't get in. While Smith is still the most common surname in America, new analysis from the Census Bureau shows that, for the first time ever, two Hispanic surnames are among the top 10 in the country. Garcia and Rodriguez have made it to the top 10, with Martinez just barely out of 10th place. Since the 1990s the number of Hispanics living in the US has grown by 58%, and they now make up 13% of the population. The number of Hispanic surnames in the top 25 surnames has doubled to six. And while historical records can't officially confirm, some say that this is the first time that any non-Anglo name has been in the top 10 most common in America. In Europe it's the Muslim names that are moving up the "popularity" ladder. Here it's the Hispanic Names. Boortz, by the way, isn't in the top 20, let alone the top 10. Barack Obama seems to be a bit upset over reports that Hillary's column is sitting on some information about him that might be considered scandalous. Obama accused Clinton of "swift boat" politics and is saying that he will not be intimidated. How special. OK ... let's deal with this "swift boating" nonsense. The reference, of course, is the information made public on John Kerry during the 2004 presidential election by a group calling themselves "The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth." The truth here is that none of the accusations made against John Kerry by these veterans turned out to be a lie. The left has, somehow, created the false idea in a huge number of Americans that the swift boaters were proven wrong. Not so. The media never did launch any real investigation into the allegations brought forward by these veterans; perhaps because of fears they would have to report them as being accurate if they did! A listener, John Trujillo, emailed me a definition of "Swift Boating" over the weekend. He has it pretty much nailed down:
The reality is when Obama starts whining that someone is going to "swift boat" him, he is actually showing his concern that someone is about to tell the truth. Screw this. So what if GQ says that it is a horrible fashion faux pas to carry your mobile phone on a little clip on your belt. That's what the clip is for .. and that's what I'm gonna do. And I may put my durned Blackberry on the other hip just to even things out. Why the hell is it no good to have your cell phone on your belt, but it is OK to have it hanging from the very same clip from your crack pants like some urban drug warrior? Does wearing my phone on my belt change who I am? If we worried as much about government spending and our tax policies as we do about where to wear our damned cell phones we would all be better off.
READING ASSIGNMENTS Here's a link to the "Caucus" blog from The New York Times. Here they're discussing James Carville being an "commentator" for CNN in light of his past and present association with the Clintons. The comments that follow are pretty interesting. Maybe we're not the only ones that "get it." Clinton getting on board with the global warming scam. Here's her idea of spending $150 billion over 10 years to combat the problem, $50 billion of which will be "taken" from the evil oil companies. Can you believe this? Tawana Brawley's mom and stepfather want the State of New York to reopen her case! Yeah .. and let's reopen the Lindberg kidnapping while we're at it. Let's see how long it takes for Al "The Liar" Sharpton to mouth off about this one. The latest report from the UN says that global warming is "unequivocal," and the current levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will lead to an eventual rise in sea levels of up to 4.6 feet. What crap. Oops, while the US has imposed sanctions on Iran and Britain has called for new sanctions, it has been revealed that the British Government has provided Iran with $668 million in financial support. Here's Karl Rove's article in Newsweek on "How to Beat Hillary (Next) November." Hold on, Carl. You're trying to muscle into to talk show host territory. We are supposed to be her number one enemy, not you! A special thanks to the New York Times for revealing more highly classified material at the expense of national security. Just remember, if you are the director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, do not to dress up in a prison outfit with dreadlocks and darkened skin for Halloween. Mark Steyn on why the world should give thanks for America this Thanksgiving. An excellent column .... John Kerry has accepted Texas oilman T. Boone Pickens' offer to give $1 million to anyone who can disprove any charged made in the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Oh goody ... The Poodle in the limelight again. In the past on the Neal Boortz Show, we've brought you stories about Your Black Muslim Bakery in Oakland, California. Now the owner of the bakery (who had more than 100 women he considered his "wives") orchestrated a systematic welfare fraud scheme costing tax payers over $1 million. Leaders in Afghanistan have their turbans in a wad over a performance by Shakira that aired on an independent TV station. Now let's take a little trip to Ireland so that we may bask in the glory of universal healthcare. Coming soon to America! Here's shocking news ... Detroit has been declared America's most dangerous city. A boy in New York City is suing the Department of Education to let him retake an entrance exam to an elite New York school. The boy says he couldn't finish the test because he was distracted by other students in the room. Ron Paul supporters are now printing illegal Ron Paul currency?? Actually ... I'm on their side in this one. A person should be able to trade anything of value for anything of value .. so I don't see why the government is even involved. How about this campaign ad for Mike Huckabee, complete with a side of Chuck Norris. Gotta love it. Apparently residents in Santa Fe, New Mexico aren't too thrilled with their tax dollars funding a UFO-themed float for the Rose Bowl Parade. A 102-year-old woman ... naked ... in a nude calendar? See? Snowboarders are a menace! Neal talked about dwarf bullfighting today. And of course, that story is useless without video. Okay, this is cheating a bit as it doesn't go with THAT story, but it's related. And bonus...looks like this bull is, um, fighting back. | ||
