NOT SHOPPING .....

But then again, I'm not exactly working today either.  Maybe I'll spend a good bit of the day just cleaning up this end-of-the-world mess in my office.  But there is time for just a few random notes and maybe a reading assignment or two.

Speaking of the end of the world ... We have a couple of scientists our there who think that mankind is going to shorten the lifespan of the universe.  Not just life on earth, mind you, but the entire universe. Yup ... these scientists say that we may have hastened the end of the entire universe by be so bold as to look at it.  More specifically, we have now observed dark energy, and apparently that is a big-time no-no.  Let's combine that story with another about some eco-moonbat named Toni Vernelli.  Toni is now 35 years old and somewhat attractive.  Toni terminated a pregnancy about 10 years ago because she felt she had to do so in order to save the planet.  She later had herself sterilized, at the age of 27, so that she wouldn't commit the hideously selfish act of actually having a child.  Toni says "Having children is selfish. It's all about maintaining your genetic line at the expense of the planet."  To Toni, children are a threat to the future.  She earns her living working for an environmental charity of some kind ... and eating vegetables.  Now ... let's combine the two stories.  If we should have ourselves neutered in order to save the planet, shouldn't we gouge our eyes out so that we won't look at the universe and hasten its end?

These people walk among us .. and they vote.  God help us. 

One of the places I have wanted to visit .. but the demands of a radio show prevent it .. is Antarctica.  I have brochures on my desk for the M/S Explorer .. a ship that makes that very journey.  Looks like I'm going to have to come up with another plan.

Do you hate the rich?  Lord knows you're not alone.  And you probably think that the Republican Party is the party of the evil, nasty, insipid, grotesque, putrid rich, don't you?  Well, turns out you're wrong.  That would be the Democrat Party.

As it was during her campaigns for the Senate, so it is in her presidential run.  Hillary Clinton just doesn't like to answer questions from either reporters or individuals. She plants questions at campaign appearances, and she avoids questioning by reporters.  Reason?  This woman just has too much to hide. 

You won't believe this one.  A 13-year-old girl commits suicide.  Why?  Because she was receiving cruel messages over the Internet.  It seems that Megan developed an Internet relationship with a boy.  When the boy ended the relationship she hanged herself.  Later we find out that there was no boy at all.  The boy was actually the mother of a friend of Megan's with whom she had had a falling out.  The mother of Megan's friend wanted to find out what Megan was saying about her daughter on the Internet ... so she posed as a boy to create the relationship. She then sent the 13-year-old a message telling her the world would be better off without her.  Amazing.
