Look through the papers, listen to the newscasts, watch the talking heads on TV. See if you can find reporters out there telling you that the majority of the rioters are Muslims. And just what do they have their turbans in a wad over this time? Two kids racing through the streets on a motorcycle ran into a cop car. It didn't turn out all that well for the kids. So ..... let's riot!
Now ... before we go any further, a reminder of just what this whole diversity thing is all about. Diversity education can take on basically two forms. One form is anti-individualism. If you've been listening to my show, reading my notes or just paying attention to what is going on around you, you will know that the left is waging a full-scale war against individualism. Individual rights ... bad. Collective rights ... good. Individual achievement ... bad. Collective achievement ... good. When diversity is the issue you are categorizing and judging people not by their individuality, but by their group identity. The other form of diversity education is the selling of the idea that white guys are bad, everybody else is good. That would seem to be the case in Denver. Denver is forcing all of its employees to watch a diversity training video. That should be enough to infuriate you. But some people in Denver are saying that it does what we typically see these "diversity" workshops do ... portray white people as inherently racist simply because they are white. This video Denver city employees are being forced to watch is called Laughing Matters - Think About It. (watch a little preview here) I would like to think that the video was really produced as a comedy piece, but too many people are taking it seriously. So here we have the city of Denver requiring all of its employees to watch this piece of "white men are bad dudes." Not good, but pretty much what you would expect. Now ... imagine if the person being insulted in the video was black or Muslim ... Oh no, that would be racist to portray a minority that way. All minorities, remember, are worthy of praise. White folks aren't. Besides, that would be racial profiling, wouldn't it? There is only one race that cannot be profiled. Care to guess which one? There are more parts to this video and the three-hour facilitated discussion that we are not seeing. But don't worry ... when someone pointed out the ridiculousness of showing the video, the city said that it plans to update it in 2008 or 2009. Now that's decisive action! Wait 'till next year! And of course, where would a city be without a diversity manager. In Denver, the diversity manager (the person in charge of group identities) is a woman; Susan Maxfield. Susan's advisory committee along with the city's television station concocted this little beauty. It even won an award for second place in 2005 for Instruction/Training from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors.
I'm really hoping to tune into the news tomorrow to find out that some of these parents who shelled out thousands of dollars to placate their whining kids got nailed ... they paid thousands of bucks for a worthless piece of cardboard. Evil, aren't I? But I'm really going to enjoy this one. John Edwards had a little town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire on Monday. He chastised Hillary's healthcare plan because, while she will mandate healthcare, there is no way to enforce it according to Edwards. He says the only way to have "real universal healthcare" is to mandate it for every man, woman and child. How will he do that? Edwards says, "Every time you come into contact with the healthcare system or the government you will be signed up." All we need at this point was John Edwards using saying, with a thick German accent, "papers please!" When asked what would happen if an individual decided they didn't want healthcare Edwards said, "You don't get that choice." Edward's "you don't get that choice" statement reminds me of something. Have any of you heard John Edwards use the word "freedom" in a stump speech lately?
It's really sad when a seven-year-old has to stand up and defend the absurdity of a radical religion. The Sudanese student, Mohammad, defended his British teacher who has been accused of insulting Islam after naming a class teddy bear Mohammad. The boy said, "The teacher asked me what I wanted to call the teddy ... I said Mohammad. I named it after my name." He says he wasn't thinking of Islam's Prophet when he suggested the name, and he says that most of the class agreed with his suggestion. The boy also adds that the teacher, Gillian Gibbons (54 years old) was "very nice" and said he would be upset if she didn't come back to teach. The boy also said that Gibbons never discussed religion with the class nor did she mention the Prophet Muhammad. Just a reminder, the punishment for this British teacher is 40 lashes and six months in prison or a fine. Just another chapter in the story of the wonderful, serene, peaceful, loving, gentle, embracing, peaceful religion of Islam. A court has ruled that U.S. immigration authorities acted constitutionally when they searched dozens of Muslims at the US-Canadian border on their way back from an Islamic convention in Canada. The New York Civil Liberties Union (who else!) sued on behalf of some who attended the "Reviving the Islamic Spirit" conference in Toronto in 2004. They were frisked, fingerprinted and photographed, and their cars were searched. They had to fill out forms and were questioned about their past travels, what happened at the conference and why they went. The U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection had intelligence giving it reason to believe that people with terrorist ties would be attending certain Islamic conferences at that time. Good .. we need more of this. So long as Muslims are openly calling for the death of our country and of us .. make their border crossings as difficult as possible. When they start to clean up the mess that has become their religion, then maybe we can lighten up.
Hospice providers seem to be in a pickle ... their patients are living longer (which is a good thing) but that means hospices can't afford to keep them. Patients living longer have led the federal government to demand that hospices that exceed reimbursement limits pay back hundreds of millions of dollars to Medicare. Hospice benefits were originally designed for people with less than six months to live, generally cancer patients. But like any government entitlement program, it spun out of control. Medicare's hospice coverage began in 1983 and is now one of the fastest growing components of Medicare. Medicare, in turn, is the government's fastest growing entitlement program. Medicare spending tripled from 2000 to 2005 to $8.2 billion a year. Forty percent of Medicare recipients now use the hospice service. With that in mind, hospice use skyrocketed among people with Alzheimer's and dementia. Those patients now make up the majority of hospice consumers and their average stay is double what the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission envisioned. Imagine that ... poor planning on the part of a government agency. By the way ... did you know that on the average about 60 percent of the money that is spent on any individual's health care is spent during the last few months of that person's life? When the government is in charge of all health care, you can bet that this statistic will come into play with government health care planning agencies. You can fully expect the government to eventually tell people that no, they can't have a particular surgical procedure, because they're only going to live a few more months anyway. Now when this happens, and when you decide to go outside of the government system to get that health care on your own, using our own money, you'll soon find out that what you're doing is a crime. Just ask John Edwards.
Well ... we won't revisit the whole thing here, I just wanted you to read a few emails the show received yesterday about Dr. Whoever-Whoever.

Iran has its own idea for a peace conference, inviting Palestinian militant factions to an "alternative" Mideast meeting in Tehran. Sounds like a good target for a cluster of cruise missiles. It looks like older women (along with young, single women) may be responsible for putting Hillary in the White House. By the way, are Hillary's teeth two different colors in the picture ... or is it just me? That number again is 1-800-BRITESMILE Bill says that Hillary will bring America "back to the future." Then the article goes on to talk about "Oprah vs. Bill" ... how sad. Here's yet another terrible story about an illegal immigrant driving drunk and getting into a car crash on Thanksgiving. You know it's bad when even your own allies are annoyed with you ... Hugo are you listening? Uh oh. Has Mitt Romney offended the Muslims by saying that putting a Muslim in his cabinet would not be justified based on the percentage of Muslims in America? Well, at least he recognizes that modern day cabinets are chosen on the basis of quotas rather than ability. Republicans in Portland are petitioning to recall three school committee members who voted to allow middle school students access to birth control through the school. This one goes in the "yeah right" category. A bill has been introduced to the Congress that could make Puerto Rico the 51st U.S. state. And here's a real shocker ... the UN arms embargo is ineffective, according to Swedish researchers. Excuse me for a minute while I pick myself up off the floor. In Orange County, California they are going to purify sewer water to increase drinking water supplies. The Orange County Water District says that this can be a model for all of us facing persistent droughts or water shortages. Hey .. dogs drink it, and they don't seem to be the worse off for it. In Kenya, Muslim leaders are denying that an opposition party promises to introduce Sharia law for Muslim if it wins the election. Careful ... Muslims lie. This seems a bit ironic: atheist Sunday school? Couldn't they pick another day? For the third time this year, doctors at a hospital in Rhode Island performed brain surgery on the wrong side of the brain. So this is where Democrat voters come from. Rats are eating birds in Alaska ... no doubt it is because of global warming. Either that or it's Bush's fault. Note, please, that this idiot is a male. Typical. What do you want to bet he thinks the earth is about 6000 years old. | ||
