ANYONE STILL OUT THERE LISTENING? Man! Was I a grump yesterday or what? I'm blaming it on Belinda. 'Cause I can. Can't blame it on Royal. That would make me a racist. You folks can take it out on me today.
Hey! Here's an idea! While the U.N. is investigating us, why don't we all send our children out to trick or treat for the U.N.! Isn't that a swell idea? So-called "human rights activist" Philip Alston generally investigates honor killings, mass executions and black-masked death squads. But I suppose U.S. troops and military contractors are on par with masked death squads ... at least according to the U.N. Now don't get me wrong, you heard me yesterday talking about my hesitations in the Blackwater case. In fact yesterday the Iraqi government approved a law to lift immunity for foreign security companies including Blackwater. The law, however, would not be retroactive, so any punishment for Blackwater would be left up to the states. Iraq's Prime Minister Al-Maliki demands that the U.S. end its relationship with Blackwater within six months and pay $8 million in compensation to each victim. Frankly, I think that Al-Maliki needs to be told (in rather strong language) that the American taxpayers have spent quite enough on Iraq, than you very much. Yesterday President Bush slammed Congress for not getting its work done. He says that Congress is too busy focusing on investigating his administration and trying to pull the troops out of Iraq. Nancy Pelosi was not too pleased with this. She says, "Instead of criticizing Congress, the president's time would be better spent working in a bipartisan way to end this disastrous war in Iraq, keep our promises to our veterans by providing the largest veterans' healthcare investment in history, and providing healthcare for 10 million children." OK .. first of all, Nancy Pelosi's MoveOn Democrat party controls both the House and the Senate. They can end the war in Iraq any time they want to. Right now it's the Democrat's fault the war hasn't been called off, not the president's. Just shut up, Nancy, and get it done. Secondly ... no child in America goes without health care if the caretaker of that child cares enough to seek it. You're going to get your precious nationalized health care in the U.S. You're going to get what Democrats have dreamed of for decades ... control over the health care of every single American. You're going to get your wish because Americans largely believe that they are not responsible for their own health care. So just shut up about it for now, and try to get some budget bills passed. Back to Bush ... the president also pointed out that democrats have passed an "endless series of tax increases" and that they can't seem to solve anything without it involving a tax hike. He points to S-CHIP, the farm bill, the energy bill and a small business bill as prime examples. And while Bush is no frugal president, he points out that the Democrats seek to spend more than $205 billion over the next five years. Is there something about this that surprises Bush? Meanwhile, Dennis Kucinich has found the time to question the president's mental health, in light of Bush's comments about a nuclear Iran could mean WWIII. Kucinich says, "I seriously believe we have to start asking questions about his mental health ... There's something wrong. He does not seem to understand his words have real impact." Then, after telling the world that he thinks Bush has a mental health problem, Kucinich proceeded to talk about the time he saw a UFO. No wonder our government can't get anything done. We have resorted to publicly question the mental state of our own president. Kucinich, by the way, is certifiable.
Clinton's opposition? The same as Obama, Edwards and others ... responses to questions about interrogation techniques. Mukasey refused to say whether or not waterboarding is a form of torture. He also said that the president has the authority to disobey constitutional federal statues if it is in effort to defend the country. Waterboarding, by the way, is not torture .. unless you define torture down, as the MoveOn Democrats and the media have been doing for years. The Judiciary Committee is still waiting for responses to a series of written questions asking Mukasey to clarify his views. Some Democrats say that unless he explicitly denounces waterboarding, they will not support him. I'm sorry but making someone think that they are drowning is not torture. And if it takes making a terrorist think he is drowning to save this country, then I don't see any reason why it should be stopped. One more thing about torture ... just so there is no question of where I stand (as if it matters). If we know that there is a nuclear bomb in downtown Chicago set to go off in hours; and if we have somebody in our custody who can tell us where that bomb is, we can (you might not want to read this) drive bamboo shoots up under his fingernails, nails into his eyes, crush his knees, and then, for good measure, drive a glass rod up his bin Laden and break it into tiny pieces, and then cut off anything we don't' think this guy is ever going to need again in his entire miserable life just to get him to talk ... if that's what it takes. Let's stop this asinine moral exhibitionism on the issue of torture. If you wouldn't torture some worthless piece of human debris to save the live of someone you love .. .than step aside and let someone else do the job. The National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) is having its annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland starting today through Sunday. Now taxpayers in every state, listen up. Your money is paying for K-12 teachers from all 50 states to attend the NAME convention. The teachers can sit in on any of the workshops and determine which multicultural propaganda they would like to indoctrinate their government school with upon their return. Let's take a look at some of your workshop options:
This is pure liberalism being fed to your teachers ... and then to your kids ... in the guise of education. Remember .... Multiculturalism merely means that your child should be judged on the basis of his race, ethnicity, religion or some other group aspect, rather than his individual identity. Multiculturalism is the heart of the anti-individualist movement. These teachers are going to be taught to come back to your wonderful government school and convince your child that the only thing about him that matters is his group identity ... that he is not an individual, he's just a member of a group. Ohhhhhh.. But YOUR government school is different, isn't it? YOUR government school is really doing a good job ... it's the rest of those schools that are so bad. Right? Righhhhhhht.
Warren Buffett wants to pay more taxes. The guy is a phony. There is absolutely nothing in the world that would prevent him from writing a check for ten million or so and sending it to the U.S. Treasury. Unless he does so this "I should pay more taxes" crap is just that ... crap. Put your money where your mouth is, Mr. Buffett.
There are six band members, and they practice at the Gaza City police headquarters every day. Most of their songs (shockingly!) have strong Islamic and militaristic content, with titles like "Change" and "Reform." Some of my favorite "uplifting" lyrics include, "By the shrouds of the dead we are inspired." Maj Hosam Abu Dabba Dabba Abdu is a 40-year-old former police officer and now fronts the band (and they call this a "boy band"??). Abdu says that it is their job to inspire foot soldiers. "We want to urge the soldiers and officers to push on, to make the effort needed in the struggle to end the occupation [of Palestinian land by Israel]." He also plans for the band to make recordings for distribution, to build a theatre in Gaza City and to start public dancing ... what? Dancing? But of course, being an Islamic group there are absolutely no women involved. Well ... except for the groupies. Surely there are Muslim groupies. Nancy Pelosi, for instance. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK I think Halloween would be a good time to bust out a couple of redneck hearses, an old one and a new one. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS Quick! Cancel trick-or-treating tonight. It's racist! According to this story from The New York Times, a higher percentage of white kids trick or treat on Halloween than black kids. If you need an awww break at work, check out this Howloween Pet Parade. No patience for video? Check out this slideshow of pets in costumes. The Democrats are trying to decide whether or not to approve $50 billion to $70 billion more for Iraq and Afghanistan ... this is less than have of Bush's request for $196, but it is said to be enough to keep the war going for a few months. U.S. troop deaths are at a two-year low in Iraq. This, of course, is bad news for MoveOn Democrats. We'll see how they react. Muslim radicals are learning how to play the game. When you oppose them you are an "Islamophobe" and they are the "victims." Some 52% of likely voters say they would support a U.S. military strike to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons, according to the latest Zogby polls. One of the California wildfires was started by a brat playing with matches. What do you want to bet one of this kid's parents smokes? The U.S. revealed that its 2007 fiscal budget for intelligence was $43.5 billion. This figure has been kept secret for almost a decade. This woman seems to think that Republican women are too smart to vote for Hillary. We have yet to determine whether the author, Kyle-Anne Shiver, is single. Probably not. Too smart. A group of congressmen have now asked the Department of Veterans Affairs to reconsider the ban on flag-folding ceremonies at military funerals. Yesterday the House approved a bill to extend a moratorium on Internet access taxes for seven years. Now it goes to the White House for Bush's approval. Mitt Romney compared Hillary Clinton to an intern because of her lack of experience actually running anything. He says, "The government of the United States is not a place for a president to be an intern." No .. but apparently it is the place for the president to DO an intern. The mother of a 12-year-old boy who died from a staph infection plans to sue the city and its hospital system for $25 million. Guess who gets to end up paying for this? Yet another execution blocked by the Supreme Court. Every single time this happens it lends encouragement and comfort to murderers across the country. But what the hell, after all, he only kidnapped a woman and beat her to death and then left her body in the woods. It's not like he committed a hate crime or anything like that. Here's a story from CNN about a battle between the crew of a North Korean merchant ship and a gang of pirates of Somalia. First .. nowhere in the article does CNN describe the pirates as being followers of that wonderful, peaceful, serene, loving religion of Islam. Second .. the North Korean crew members who were injured were treated aboard a U.S. Navy ship. Do you think North Korea will thank us? A $20 million project to put a 28-mile digital fence along the U.S. border with Mexico has been delayed due to software problems. No ... the real truth here is that it is delayed because it is a government project. Yesterday the UN voted - for the 16th year in a row - to have all nations lift any trade embargos against Cuba . That idiot, jerk judge in Washington who sued the dry cleaner for $54 million because they temporarily lost his freaking pants? Well, the butthole is now out of a job. Just trying to bring you some good news here. Russia is really trying to increase voter turnout among the homeless for the upcoming elections. Ron Paul supporters (college kids) are trying to raise money by playing the Halo 3 video game for 12 hours a day, seven days a week and broadcasting the gaming sessions over the Internet. The University of Florida student who was shocked with a taser will not face criminal charges if he apologizes and complies with terms of a voluntary 18-month probation. You know the youtube kids have had fun with this video...check out the "Don't tase me bro" remix. There are many more where that came from. Cupcakes, cookies and cakes have been banned by a government school district in Central New York. Now if that happened here it just might be enough to get Belinda to put her kid in a private school. A 77-year-old retired man has his Depends in a wad because they carded him at his local supermarket when he tried to buy a case of beer. Elvis Presley is apparently the richest dead celebrity ... according to Forbes.com's list of Top-Earning Dead Celebrities. British marine biologists found the world's oldest living animal ... then they killed it. Don't worry I am sure we can find a way to blame its death on global warming. | ||
