AUSTRALIA CAVES IN TO MUSLIM DEMANDS

Australia is developing national standards to be adopted by universities in order to meet the educational and religious "obligations" of Muslim students. This means that all universities will be required to provide Halal food and prayer rooms.

This announcement came at a two-day conference called "Access, Inclusion and Success - Muslim students at Australian universities." It included issues on gender, discrimination and how to meet the needs of Muslim students.

Director of Equity and Diversity Dr Sev Ozdowski says, "We also need to address the practical realities that Muslim students face every day, such as providing prayer space and cafeteria food that is halal, to ensure university campuses are welcoming of all cultures and faiths."

What about footbaths? Maybe they could also really stretch the limits and provide Muslim students with a weapons lab?

This story from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution this morning. They're considering some traffic roundabouts in the Atlanta suburb of Cobb County. The story says they're popular in Europe.

Yeah, they're popular in Europe, but in Europe they train drivers! In Europe you can't get a drivers license by proving you can start a car and then drive between orange traffic cones in a parking lot. In Europe they actually fail people taking driving tests. Cobb County isn't Europe. You put a roundabout on a major road in Cobb County and these Georgian's are going to kill themselves.

Then again .. it's only one lane.

SWISS ARMY KNIFE IN THE CAR = A FELONY?

More from Cobb County, Georgia. It seems that a Cobb County student, Will Chandler, was found with a Swiss Army knife in the center console of his car. I can tell you that I have a Swiss Army knife in the console of my car right now. The difference is, this kid is actually going to be charged with a felony! That's right, folks ... a felony! Bad kid? Nope .. he has no record of disciplinary problems at his school.

Do you have any idea what a felony conviction does to your life? This will dog him forever. Most employers run criminal background checks now ... how many are willing to hire someone with a felony record? How about getting into college? How many colleges readily accept an applicant with a felony record?

The Cobb County schools say they are sticking with their decision to bring felony charges. That's because they're government schools, run by government hacks who couldn't make it in the private sector.

Amazing. Just amazing. Cobb County school have a record of this nonsense. Several years ago they kicked little Ashley Smith out of school because she came to school with a little Tweetie Bird on a key chain. I guess it can be said that people who send their children to these Cobb County government schools pretty much get what they deserve.

SPAIN'S STRATEGY FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATIONS

In Spain they've devised a new way to handle the deportation of illegal immigrants ... put them in straitjackets! Police now have the authority to dress immigrants in straitjackets and helmets on repatriation flights.

The police will determine when it will be necessary to use this method, to ensure that the illegal immigrants don't hurt themselves. More than 8,000 illegal immigrants have been flown home this year, so far.

These guidelines are a response to a Nigerian immigrant who died on his repatriation flight in June.

BRITAIN'S HEALTH CAMPAIGN

Conservatives in Britain have a new plan for the National Health Service in Britain to make its citizens healthier. If you refuse to change your unhealthy lifestyle, you will not receive treatment.

Britain will issue "Health Mile" cards. You get points on your card for acts such as quitting smoking or losing weight. Your points will earn you gym memberships and free veggies!

Yeah ... like they're really going to start denying health care to Brits because they're eating too many fish and chips.

WARMERS SAY 'DON'T FLY!'

You may remember that they EU had devised their latest scheme to combat global warming ... don't fly. Well guess what? The plan will not work.

Analysts at the Tyndall Center, which is a prestigious climate research institute in the UK, says the plan will have little effect.

The Friends of the Earth funded the initial study on mandatory efficiency goals for planes, tax on aviation fuel and limits on airport expansion.

The analysis says that even if the price of carbon increased significantly, it would only moderately increase tickets prices and only slightly decrease the number of airline passengers ... if at all.

Aviation accounts for no more than 2% of greenhouse gas production. That's all of the aviation around the world. But warmers are worried that the ability of airlines to offer cheap flights, combined with economic growth is going to create a huge boom in the airline business. Thus, the world will be destroyed by the increase in emissions from aircrafts.

The truth? OK .. here's what's really going on. Remember, these global warming moonbats are leftists. Many are socialists. For many of them their true goal is to cripple capitalism, not to solve any problems without our client. They know that aviation is essential to business. Hamper aviation and you hamper business. It's as easy as that.
