BACK ON MONDAY

My thanks to Herman Cain for filling in this week. I heard his show on the West Coast .. and I'm sure there will be a lot of people who might wish that I would just extend my vacation ... permanently.

OK .. no more time off until around the Christmas Holidays ... and I'm loaded for bear on my return.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Here's a government outrage. Your tax dollars are funding the transportation and housing bill, which is expected to be ripe with funding for new bridges and infrastructure. Wrong. How about increasing funding by $8 billion for a North Dakota peace garden, a Montana baseball stadium and a Las Vegas history museum. Are you getting it, folks? Spending more money on pork like this is not going to prevent incidents' like the Minneapolis bridge collapse. It will, however, buy votes. Government will always find other ways to spend your money. Face it ... we've lost control of these people in Washington.

The President of Iran says that he wants peace and love for everyone ... except Israel. There's real shocker. He called Israel an "invader" that it "cannot continue its life." Sounds like peace to me. I'm just looking forward to the day when I wake up in the morning, turn on the radio, and hear that we've bombed the hell out of Iran's nuclear facilities.

Now speaking of that ... is the U.S. getting closer to a military strike against Iran? Fox News reports that it could happen in 8-10 months, just months before the presidential election. Better do it before the Democrat Party captures the White House. Peace-at-any-price doesn't work with Islamic goons.

Good news from Iraq as al Qaeda suffers more losses. In a special operation, three al Qaeda fighters were killed, 80 were arrested - four of which are senior leaders of al Qaeda. Let's hope their death was painful and their virgins will be virgins for a reason. Pure ugly.

A university in California won't hire a professor because ... he's too liberal? Wow. There's a first. Surely there must be a typo hidden in here somewhere.

A man in Fort Lauderdale saved a woman from a carjacking at knife point ... a few hours later the heroic man was fired. The owner of the restaurant was upset with all of the media buzz generated by the incident, and he fired the man for his involvement.

The Gonzales non-scandal continues. Thousands of pages of documents have been handed over to Democrats. In a recent interview with Senator Russ Feingold, he could not cite any instances where Gonzales committed a crime but he was "still sure that a crime had been committed."

Are you a global warmer who will blindly believe the dogma of Al Gore and the Church of climate change? This is a good look at politicians and their inability to recognize the need to re-evaluate the global warming 'data' that is leading many hysterically down the wrong path.

Eating more meat? Then you are a large contributor to global warming. The other day the Swedes reminded us that men are the biggest offenders ... because they eat more meat. Beano might help.

It's been a while since we've harped on our ridiculous sex offender laws in this country. Here's an article that shows that the laws are doing more harm than they do good. Facts and logic aren't going to change things though, not while there are hysterical women out there to be placated.

If you want to dress like a celebutard on a Southwest flight, you better think again. Another woman has come forward saying that flight attendants made her cover up, saying her dress was "too provocative" and may cause discomfort to other passengers.

Want take out? Well now you can order your food ... via text messaging?? I want someone in Iowa to send me some of those corndogs they had at the straw poll. Best ever.
