SINCE WHEN DO YOU NEED A BIG SCREEN TO SURVIVE?

By Neal Boortz

How are you preparing for survival panic? No, seriously. Psychologists are worried that with the current economy, people are going to go into panic mode. This means more theft. More crime. Drug use. Work place violence. Depression. People are getting seriously worried how our entitlement, wealth-envy culture is going to handle a tough economic climate.

Take this AP article, for example: "In the coming months, mental health experts expect a rise in theft, depression, drug use, anxiety and even violence as consumers confront a harsh new reality and must live within diminished means." What they mean by "diminished means" is that it is going to be harder for you to buy your lifestyle using a credit card. You will complain that your children are hungry and you can't afford healthcare, but your wife will have the latest designer handbag from the mall and you will have the newest cell phone plastered to your ear.

Now I know, I know .. this doesn't go for EVERYONE. There are some of you who know how to live within your means and aren't playing this game of wealth envy. But the painful truth is that you are in the minority, folks. The vast majority of people in this country are more concerned about the size of their TV screen than their child's education.

Know what? Sounds like a pretty good time to buy a gun ... and learn to use it. I'm looking for some DRT stories on predators who break into homes and threaten innocents.
