THANKING SOME PEOPLE

First ... thanks to the Benton County (Arkansas) Republicans for inviting me to speak to their Lincoln Day  Republican dinner.  There was, I understand, some minor grumbling about inviting a Libertarian to speak to a Republican dinner .. but in the end I think they were pleased.  Oh ... and I got to stay in the world's largest Embassy Suites Hotel .. and the folks at Daisy gave me a custom-made BB gun. 

Then there's Tim and Kim Hudson.  Tim pitches for the Atlanta Braves and I was privileged to play in their "Birdies and Baseball" golf tournament over the weekend and yesterday.  By the way ... we won!  No thanks to me.  Hard to lose when you play off of 300 yard drives from Braves closer Tyler Yates.

BROADCASTING TODAY FROM DISNEY!

Since I'm here in Orlando .. might as well have some Disney fun.  I'll be broadcasting today from the radio studios located inside the Disney MGM Studios at Walt Disney World.  You can come by and gawk and the ugly bald-headed New York times bestselling author and general reprobate doing the talk radio show if you care to.   

HILLARY AND THE OBAMA "DRESSING" PHOTO

This woman is just ridiculous.  Go ahead ... you bedwetters out there can call it "hate speech" if you want to .. but she doesn't have an honest bone in her body.

You know the story, don't you?  Over the weekend someone leaked a picture of Barack Obama.  The picture was taken on a trip Obama took to Africa. While there he dressed in the garb of some tribal chieftans.

Perhaps the damaging thing about this picture is the fact that in addition to wearing some nifty African chieftain garb, Obama is wearing a turban.  That, of course, makes Obama appear to be a Muslim.  So ...  the picture goes to Drudge, with Drudge stating that the picture came from the Hillary campang.  What a sleazy cheap-shot artist this horrid woman is. 

Interestingly, Hillary says that she knows nothing about the photo

"Every time I traveled to foreign countries, I wore the costume of the country. You can find dozen of pictures of me in different parts of the world.  You can find me wearing African outfits, Latin American outfits, Asian outfits, when you travel to foreign countries, it's a sign of respect. What  does that have to do with anything?"

She "knows nothing about it."  Right ... and the whole Monica Lewinsky bit was just cooked up by a "vast right wing conspiracy," and she didn't know where those Rose Law Firm billing records were either.  Oh .. and she didn't know who hired Craig Livingstone, the goon who illegally gathered all of those FBI files.  She also had no idea that her "husband" was planning to pardon some Puerto Rican terrorists to enhance here election chances in New York. Face it, mis amigos.  She's a liar.  A pathological liar.  She is incapable of telling the truth.  She believes that the "truth" is whatever version of events best serves her interests. 

Now Hillary is right.  American politicians don ethnic garb all the time when the visit abroad, and I'm sure we could find some pictures of Hillary in some rather strange outfits.  Big deal.  The reason Hillary's campaign linked this particular picture was because they knew it would be a clever way to play both the race and the Muslim card.  This isn't a typical white-bread politician dressing up in a guyabera or putting on an African robe.  This is an African-American (one of the few times you'll hear me use that hyphenated-American nonsense) politician dressed up as an African leader .. with a turban to boot.  Hillary knows that this picture will play well to the uneducated voters she'll be depending on.  One, they don't want their black president wearing African garb, and two .. they don't want him wearing a turban.

Hillary's campaign is imploding.  For the past several years Hillary Rodham has been working under the assumption that this Democrat primary season was to be more of a coronation than an actual primary fight.  These various primaries were supposed to be a victory tour of sorts .. .with Hillary gallivanting across the country accepting the love and the accolades of the people who were to be putting her into the White House in November.  Now she's getting her ass kicked, and it's a wonderful thing to watch. 

I do wonder, though, if Hillary is going to need to continue with this absurd sham marriage after her White House bid fails.  I also wonder if the voters of New York are going to decide that they need to get rid of this fake New Yorker and hire a Senator who wants to job to serve New York, and not to position for the presidency.

Mort Krondacke suggested last night on "Special Report with Brit Hume" that Hillary may be bipolar.  Hmmmmmm. 

OBESITY MORE DANGEROUS THAN TERRORISM?

The Oxford Health Alliance Summit has decided that governments are too focused on fighting terrorism.  Instead, government should be focusing on obesity and other "lifestyle diseases" that are killing millions more people than terrorism.  Well .. isn't that special.  I'll tell you what, though.  I areas of the world prone to Muslim suicide bombings I'm guessing that when you're eating in a restaurant you're a bit less worried when a fat ass walks in than you are when some bearded Islamic goon walks in with a heavy coat covering something. 

So this conference of prominent legal and health experts actually believes that we should devote more of our resources to helping lard asses lose weight?  They believe that global terrorism is seriously less of a threat than obesity or smoking-related illnesses?  Maybe the best solution would be to pave the way for these slobs to start paying more for health insurance ... or to start rationing health services to them until they start rationing the food they eat. 

BLUETOOTH BURQA

A German designer has created a digitally-enabled burqa that has the ability to broadcast a photo of the woman to nearby cell phones.  Markus Kison is the creator, and he calls it the "CharmingBurka."  So far it is not forbidden by Sharia law.

How it works is that the burqa has a digital layer that incorporates a Bluetooth antenna.  This lets the woman decide where she wants to position herself virtually.  So when the woman walks by others with Bluetooths, they will light up with a small file that the woman chooses to broadcast.  This could be anything about her identity ... a picture, cartoon, or even sound.

You know .. I was wondering how the ladies recognized each other when they were at the market or walking down the street. 

So this burqa isn't explicitly forbidden because Sharia law never imagined that such a thing would exist.  But, of course, Islamic governments have tried to clamp down on electronic flirting.  In Saudi Arabia, for example, it is popular for teenagers to send pictures of themselves by phone.  Saudi Arabia tried to ban this type of flirting using camera phones ... but demand was so high that it was eventually overturned.

Speaking of Saudi Arabia and flirting.  A story just recently came out that the religious police of Saudi Arabia have ordered for the arrest of 57 teenagers for flirting with girls in malls in Mecca.  They were accused of wearing "indecent clothing and playing loud music and dancing" .... apparently they thought that this would capture the attention of females.

MUSLIMS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Harvard University is caving in the matters of "multi-cultural education."  In order to make Muslim women more comfortable using the gym, Harvard has decided to try instituting a woman-only access time for the gym.  Six hours a week, the gym will be open only for females in order to accommodate their religious customs.

Here's what Ola Aljawhary, Harvard's Islamic Society's Islamic Knowledge Committee officer, has to say.  "We live together in one community, it only makes sense for everyone to compromise slightly in order for everyone to live happily," she said. "This matter is simple: Can't we just display basic decency and show tolerance and inclusion for people not a part of the mainstream majority?"  Let's watch this unfold.  First it's female-only gym time.  Then we'll see footbaths in every building on campus.  Then it will be no pork in the dining halls.  All females must dress modestly in order to not offend a Muslim ... what's to stop this culture of accommodation from spreading?  It doesn't.  But it's all in the name of multi-cultural education.

Here's another way it can go.  Muslim students in Australia are demanding that universities restructure their lecture schedules to fit in with the Muslim prayer timetables.  International students, many from Saudi Arabia, have asked universities in Melbourne to change their class times.  Not only that, but they also want separate male and female areas for eating and recreation to be established on university campuses.

When do we make a stand and tell these people 'NOT ONE MORE INCH"?

UH-OH ... CAN'T DISTRURB THE COLONY OF NEWTS

In England, they were trying to build a road to bypass a town.  That was until they discovered a colony of protected newts.  The great crested newts were found near the Earl Shilton bypass.  Guess how many they found?  Between one and ten newts were found in three ponds around the area. 

So what's the solution?  They're going to spend over $3 million to delay the project and try to stop the news from returning to the area.  That's right.  The project was supposed to be finished this year, but now it has been delayed until February 2009.  On top of that, over a million dollars will be spent on steps to stop the newts from returning and trapping the newts when hibernation ends in the spring.

The Leicestershire County Council has a legal obligation to make sure that these newts and their habitat are protected ... all at the taxpayers' expense.

Someday, my friends, you're going to understand just how hideous the Endangered Species Act is.  It is quite possibly one of the worst pieces of legislation passed in the last 50 or so years.

DEMOCRATS AND THEIR PORK

Just weeks ago, Congressional Republicans launched a website for "earmark reform."  House Republicans said it would serve as a hub for news and information about Republican efforts to hold Democrats responsible for the earmark reform promises.  The website (earmarkreform.house.gov) has since been ordered by Democrat leaders to be shut down.  Democrats want the website moved to a different location with a different domain name.  Looks like too much  light on a subject that make MoveOn Democrats a little uncomfortable.

READING ASSIGNMENTS:

Nation of Islam's Farrakhan says that Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world."  Yeah, that's just the endorsement Obama needed.  Thanks for nothing, Louie.

Now that Barack Obama seems to have monopolized on the message of "hope" ... Hillary seems to be trying to paint herself as a realist.  Meanwhile, Hillary says "shame on you" to Barack Obama because his campaign has "no right" to attack her universal healthcare program and NAFTA the way that Republicans are expected to ... at least, according to Hillary.

Two conservative Senators has placed a hold on Barack Obama's global poverty bill ... the question is, which two?

Ralph Nader decided to run for president ... again.  This egocentric, socialist jerk just seems to like screwing around with Democrats.  Let's sit back and watch him. 

Environmentalists at Heathrow airport climbed on top of a British Airways Boeing 777 plane to protest the expansion of the airport. How the hell did they get into the airport without being shot?

A General Motors executive called global warming a total crock of horsesqueeze.  Makes you want to buy a nice Chevy truck, doesn't it?

The government of Pakistan has ordered that all Internet service providers block YouTube because it contains "blasphemous" content and material that is considered offensive to Islam.  The greatest offense to Islam is an understanding of Islam.

Here's some great news ... In the last decade, the number of 16-year-olds with driver's licenses has dropped from nearly half to less than one-third.

There is a service out there providing ``How is my teen driving?'' on a bumper sticker ... complete with a phone number to report erratic or dangerous driving to parents.

The United Nations has now taken up the cause of feeding people bugs and insects.  Can't be any worse than foi gras. 

Nicolas Sarkozy wants the United Nations to make French cuisine a world heritage item.  

In Florida it is illegal for local governments to use red-light cameras to issue traffic tickets.  The solution?  Don't issue traffic tickets, issue "civil infractions."

A Japanese man has been collecting welfare benefits for years because he claims to be blind.  Only after filing a criminal complaint with the police saying he was hit by a "red car" did someone become suspicious that maybe he has been lying.

Here's a government story for you.  A woman's baby in Great Britain had cancer ... but doctors accused the mother of abusing the child and social services took away all of her children.

Publishers in New Zealand are banning children's stories that reference fish and chips because healthy food in government schools has become a serious issue.

Also from New Zealand, there are enough names on a petition to force a referendum on a bill that currently makes it a criminal offense to smack your children as a part of parental control.  Kiwis ... gotta love 'em.

A man in South Korea says he went bald because of the stress from being in the military.  Now he is considered a  person of national merit and he is entitled to a monthly state subsidy for livelihood and other social benefits

A 16-year-old boy has sex with a 13-year-old girl in Iowa.  Now the boy is a registered sex offender for life.
