It was quite a scene last night. There was Barack Obama standing in front of a sea of people waving their "change we can believe in" signs. I find that symbolic. Masses of people with no real thoughts of their own ... they walk into the venue, someone hands them a mass printed sign and they sit there yelling and screaming waving that sign around. Just grab one --- ask them what kind of change? Answers would be interesting. Focus groups. They gather together focus groups around the country. They run words by these people to see how they react to them. The moderators get good reactions to words like "change" and "believe" and the sign printers go to work. This is how we chose a president. Now the "I want my mommy" election is really under way. Hillary Clinton is now saying that she is open to the idea of being Barack Obama's vice president. That sure sounds convenient. I didn't think that vice president was worthy of the Clinton legacy. Sorry .. at this point I just don't see this happening. Why would Obama want both Hillary and Bill looking over his shoulder?
Senator Inhofe's staff has done a great job of compiling some research of the Heritage Foundation. Perhaps Barbara Boxer should consider some of these facts before she goes on making stupid comments like this again. However, to a liberal, "hope" seems to be the most important factor these days.
The Miami city tax payers will give $150,000 to a civilian patrol group by the name of the Peacemakers, which will be run by the Progressive Land Development International. This organization happens to share the same mailing address with the Nation of Islam in Miami. And while the Peacemakers claim that they are not officially affiliated with the Nation of Islam, the group is led by a man by the name of Rasul Muhammand. He happens to be a prominent member of the Nation of Islam and is the son of former leader Elijah Muhammad. Oh and one other thing ... the corporate offices for these Peacemakers are at the group's Miami mosque. The rest of the money will go to other initiatives to monitor crime in the predominantly black neighborhood of Overton. Those initiatives include video camera surveillance and extra police patrols. The Peacemakers, however, will work independently from police, and they will act as models for the community and crime watchers. Other cities have tried this little experiment before ... using a group associated with the Nation of Islam to patrol neighborhoods. In New Orleans, the police were forced to drop a $15,000 police sensitivity training contract with none other than Louis Farrakhan back in 2005 because of public outcry.
Australia has decided that it is going to use the government's resources to brainwash its children in the sins of being a global warmer. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation's "Planet Slayer" website is intended for 9-year-old children. But it also, in essence, tells children to die because they emit CO2 and are harming the atmosphere. If the children take the "greenhouse gas quiz" you will find questions like "How big is your house?" or "How much do you drive?". At the end of the quiz, a pig explodes and tells the children at "what age you should die at so you don't use more than your fair share of Earth's resources!" There we go with that "fair share" nonsense again. "Good" children are said to those that don't own a car (they are nine, but whatever) and recycle compared to those that eat meat or have the nerve to spend money. The state-sponsored broadcaster says the website is not supposed to offend certain parts of the community but it supposed to get our little angels engaged in environmental issues. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK It's just about summer and all the well-dressed redneck ladies might just be sporting something like this. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS Sign Newt's petition...drill here, drill now, pay less. Many of you have sent us this video of Barack Obama saying how he plans to disarm America. Thomas Sowell has some thoughts on Barack Obama's irrelevant apologies, and has some insight into how Barack Obama was able to steer your tax dollars towards programs run by Father Pfleger. Michael Pfleger has been temporarily removed from his duties at St. Sabina parish. What a shame. In France, Brigitte Bardot received a $23,000 fine for inciting hatred against Muslims. Out of kindness we won't post a picture of Brigitte here. The Japanese government is encouraging its citizens to take quicker baths in order to stifle growing energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They don't have this problem in France. The Governor of Colorado just signed a bill that will eliminate gender-specific restrooms and locker rooms statewide. Say what? Here's an interesting video on the age of "Millennials" ... all of these young adults that were always winners as a child and are now entering the work force. Great Britain has revealed a law that would force unmarried mothers to put the father's name on the birth certificate or pay a fine. That's assuming they know who the fathers are. Britain has decided to go with a new approach to tackling radical Islam: counseling. Yeah .. let's get some counselors for the suicide bombers. For those of you in Great Britain looking for Muslim-friendly apartments ... some have been built in Bristol with toilets that do not face Mecca. And one more from Great Britain, the British treasury announced that it wants to get into the world of Islamic finance, eventually hoping to raise $4 million through Sharia-compliant bonds. Inch by inch. The chief of the UN food agency is upset that billions of dollars are being wasted on "feeding obese people in the West" while millions of people are starving around the world. Ahmadinejad made a trip to Western Europe to attend the UN food summit. He took the time blame Europe's suffering on the Jews. Here's a quick anecdote showing how the lamestream media fails to report on Obama's history of Marxist mentors, professors, student groups and more. A high school senior has been told that she cannot participate in the graduation ceremony because she has to finish one English class ... which she hasn't been able to do because she recently had two cancer surgeries and weeks of radiation therapy. Long Beach Island seems to be having a problem with "beach bombs" washing up on the shore and people taking them home as souvenirs. | ||
