Excuse me, but just when did the UN get the authority to become involved in our national elections? Will this be enough to generate a groundswell of opinion against this rancid organization? Probably not, and that's sad. It's time for the UN to go .. go anywhere but on American territory. The UN investigator will be looking "contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance" during a two week tour of the United States (and Puerto Rico). He will be talking to government leaders but also community members, academics and people working in the field of racism and discrimination (i.e.. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson). If there is anyone out there who doesn't firmly believe that the UN will issue a finding that the US electoral process is racist ... well, you need help. Do you know we actually agreed to this? That's right. The US apparently accepted the investigation because we need to lead by example and be open to outside investigation. What a complete an utter waste of time. We are becoming a world where a black man could be the most powerful person in the world, and yet the UN insists that racism must play a part in his campaign. Yeah .. Barack Obama did over the weekend what ever single Democrat presidential candidate in our lifetimes has done. He went to talk to a group of wizened citizens and told them that if John McCain became president their precious Social Security benefits would be threatened. Perhaps McCain's best features at this point are his support of the war against Islamic fascism and his pledge to curb pork barrel spending. Add the FairTax into the mix and there may be hope for the Republicans after all ... But ... are Republicans that smart?
So because McCain grew up in a military family and served his country honorably, this makes him "dangerous." Dangerous to who? To the American people? To radical Islam? I think we know what Harkin really meant. Democrats hold our military in disdain. They hold every man and woman who enlists in our military in disdain. They constantly make comments about the relative ignorance of men and women who join our armed services. Everyone knows, of course, that if you're really smart you'll get out of high school and go find yourself a union job somewhere ... a nice union job where you'll surrender your independence and individualism to the union bosses. That's the Democrat way. God forbid you would want to serve your country. At a tattoo convention in Baltimore, a tattoo artist is offering free tattoos of Hillary Clinton. It seems his daughter is a big Hillary supporter. Who knows? Maybe this will make the difference? I know I would follow people who draw graffiti all over their bodies to hell and back. It's been a while since we've had a Muslim outrage. In the Netherlands, they've had some warm weather lately. So construction workers have decided stop wearing their work overalls and start wearing shorts. The other day, the heads of a contract firm working on a large renovation project received complaints from the neighbors. They were showing just too much skin! The neighbors who complained about all of the bare skin were Muslims. Luckily, the contractor, at least for now, says that they don't intend to change their dress in order to appease the Muslims. I'm sure the government will have something to say about that soon enough. A girl in Pennsylvania by the name of Rebecca Maykish decided that she didn't like school ... in the fourth grade. So her mother said, fine you don't have to go. And so she hasn't. Now at the age of 17, the local taxpayers in the Palmerton government school district have paid tens of thousands of dollars to compensate for those days off. Since 2004 the Palmerton government school board has authorized the payment of more than $45,000 to help Rebecca make up for her days of missed school. So her mother used the money for at-home tutoring and educational software. But she also used the taxpayer money to pay for Rebecca's modeling classes, subscriptions to teen magazines, and trips to New York and Toronto for summer camp. Rebecca's money comes from the compensator education fund, which is supported by local property taxes and controlled by the school board. The funds are given to students "whose school districts have failed to give them an appropriate education," as required by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. You see, Rebecca suffers from "school phobia." The thought of school makes her sick with anxiety. So she has just stayed home. It was 2004 when the state ordered the district to set up the compensatory education fund. They agreed to compensate Rebecca for 1,000 hours of missed education, at a rate of $45 an hour. One way or the other .. this girl will spend her life sucking on the taxpayer teat.
I read a story in the Washington Post about the death of a young woman. This ultra-huge died in her sleep. Her mom blamed it on obesity. Possibly so ... her mom is obese herself. In the story the mom bemoans the lack of "affordable" weight loss clinics and exercise facilities. Oh boy ... here we go. As we know, in the modern USA every single item or service that a person could possibly need or even want must be affordable. The new mantra is that there is something wrong with our country, our economy and our government if someone wants something they can't afford to buy. Uh oh! Suddenly we have an issue of "affordability!" So look out folks ... here comes the call for "affordable" weight loss clinics and exercise spas. How do we make them affordable? Why, through tax credits or other taxpayer-funded subsidies, of course. They had a memorial party for the teenager. Featured at the party were all of her favorite fried foods. READING ASSIGNMENTS
Now here's a good idea! Let's award a criminal justice degree to a cocaine dealer! Our favorite criminology professor, Mike Adams, objects! Do you believe in Obamamania? Is there mass hysteria behind the Obama campaign? Look at this picture from The Washington Post. Over 75,000 people turns out to see a man who can do little more than say the word "change." Are Democrats and the media trying to hurry Hillary out of the race because she is a woman? Oh yeah. Certainly that must be it! It's all about sexism! George Will has some thoughts ... Here's a question I've been talking about for ages ... "If GOP Wants To Govern Like Dems, Why Have a Separate Party?" President Bush went all the way to Saudi Arabia to determine that increasing oil production isn't going to solve our problem. John McCain was on Saturday Night Live this weekend, joking that he has the "oldness" that is necessary to lead the country. Two men in California have been convicted of running an illegal medical marijuana operation. It seems that making a profit selling marijuana is illegal. The "poor" Americans relying on government food stamps are getting hit by higher food prices. Here's a quote from a 23-year-old single mom who's a food stamp recipient: "Ain't got no food left, the kids are probably hungry." Your tax dollars at work. What do you want to bet that this woman is (a) fat, (b) has no idea where her two children's baby-daddies are, and (c) has a cell phone and a few color televisions. After hijacking a Afghan plane, Great Britain granted this guy the right to live in Britain ... now he has been found working as a cleaner for the Heathrow airport. Good show, Brits! If you want to lean a bit about how much oil there is on the North Slope of Alaska .. then take a few minutes and watch this video. Or .. you could continue with your rectal-cranial inversion. A Little League player was suspended from playing because his mom didn't show up to work the concession stand. Hey ... rules are rules. Learn 'em young. A government school student in Florida who has a rare skin condition has been suspended for having an unacceptable haircut. After accusing a government school teacher of practicing wizardry, the school board is outraged that the public has noticed their stupidity. Isn't it odd how public officials just hate it when they're exposed as the dolts they are? Here's a great article from City Journal about how identity theft goes hand in hand with illegal immigration. The Postville Community Schools superintendent says that the immigration raid on his town is like a man-made natural disaster. Remember those professional panhandlers? Looks like they are already back out on the streets ... only with a different scheme. How about spending $2 million to protect a colony of newts ... that never existed. When they say happy cows make more milk ... I don't know if they had big screen TVs and water beds in mind. | ||
