There's much more, but you get the idea. Yeah, Obama could lose. But he has the media totally in the tank for him ... and a government educated voting population poised to go to the polls. The odds aren't good.
I talk a lot on the air about making escape plans in the event Barack Obama becomes president and starts to enact some of his anti-business agenda. Fine. But what should those escape plans consist of? Today's lesson in developing your escape plan will revolve around your small business. By small ... we're talking up to a few hundred employees working for a partnership, Sub-S Corporation, LLC, or simply a sole-proprietorship. Start now to reduce the number of employees. Now I'm NOT saying to reduce the number of workers .. just the number of employees. Do you have any real idea what Barack Obama has in store for you? Well, there's higher taxes, of course, but consider also his plan to eliminate secret ballots in union elections. This will one of the first bills out of the MoveOn-Democrat congress, and since Barack Obama is currently a sponsor, you can bet it will be signed quickly. Small businesses around the country are going to suddenly find themselves unionized. Have you considered the Family Leave Act and other government regulations of the employee-employer relationship? Though it hasn't been a campaign issue, you can count on the Democrats reducing the threshold of employees needed to be subject to the act, and you will soon have to pay these people a portion of their salary not to work; maybe all of their salary. There is one way around several of these headaches that are sure to come with an ObamaNation. Temporary staffing agencies. Don't hire your employees. Use a temporary staffing company instead. Temporary doesn't necessarily mean temporary. When it comes to clerical help and many administrative duties in your workplace, as well as people like warehouse workers, machinery operators and others, you can find a temporary staffing company near you who can provide the workers (not employees, workers) you need. Here's the advantage. These people don't work for you. They work for the staffing agency. You don't pay them. You pay the staffing agency. You don't have to provide them with benefits like health insurance. That's up to the staffing agency. They can't unionize your workplace. You simply change staffing agencies. When a worker becomes a problem you don't have to jump through all sorts of legal hoops to fire them. Just tell the staffing agency to send someone else. The problem worker works for the staffing agency, not you. When your taxes go up you can simply tell the staffing agency that increased costs are going to lead to cuts, either in the number of their people working for you, or in the amount they're charging you for these people. So, there's your step one. As soon as Barack Obama becomes president-elect start talking to staffing firms in your area. Reach an arrangement with them and you can start cutting jobs - and headaches. Don't feel bad about those you let go. Chances are they voted for Barack Obama and they're just getting what they so richly deserve anyway. In other Nuze we'll talk about shipping some of your jobs overseas. For now, it sounds like a pretty good time to be in the temporary staffing business. JUST IN: Looks like she was a liar after all. THE PITTSBURGH LIAR Apparently some of you weren't listening to my show today. Last night while I was preparing my notes for the Ashley Todd story ... the girl that was supposedly attacked becasuse she was a McCain Supporter ... I inserted a line in my notes which expressed doubts about the truth of the story. I took that line out of my notes. My bad. But by the time I went on the air at 8:30 Eastern I was of the opinion that the story was bogus ... and Royal and I talked about just that. So ... earlier today I was getting emails from people telling me I was evil for suggesting this girl lied. Now this afternoon I'm getting email from people saying that I'm evil for not suggesting that she lied. You just can't win, can you?
I was VERY disappointed in listening to Charles Krauthammer last evening on Special Report. He was talking about Eisenhower-era tax rates, and correctly reminding people that back then the top tax rate was 91%. What he didn't say, and I kept waiting for it, was that back when the marginal tax rates were so high you had many many more deductions you could take on your tax forms. It's not the marginal tax rate that counts. It's how much of your gross income you have to fork over to the feds that counts. So, out of the blue, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation comes up with a chart that shows the effect of these high marginal tax rates. In 1980 the highest tax rate was 70%, but the top 5% of income earners were only paying 35% of all income taxes. Now the highest rate is 35%, and the top 5% are paying 60% of all income taxes. Here's your chart.
How in the world could Krauthammer now understand this?
The United Nations has released a report on income disparity around the world. It found that major US cities like New York, Atlanta, New Orleans and others have levels of income inequality that rival cities in Africa. Here's a real shocker ... the most "balanced" city in the world is Beijing. Gee, do you think their communist government has anything to do with it? Another part of the report found that one of the key factors in determining levels of income inequality in the United States and Canada is race. I'm sorry, this is not a matter of skin color, this is a matter of culture, folks. But don't worry. The Marxist we are about to put into the White House will make sure that this gap is closed between the achievers and non-achievers.
Re-education centers. "Eliminating" die-hard capitalists. Just another day in the life of the Weather Underground. Bill Ayer's Weather Underground. The documentary, by the way, is from 1982 ... but don't worry, Barack Obama was only about 20 years old when this documentary was made.
Here, just cut out this nifty little box and have a bunch of these printed up:
This we do no editing for misspelled words ... just let 'em rip! This time I thought I would submit a response:

My essay to the undecided voter. Folks, this election is over, according to The Rothenberg Political Report. I hope that you are ready for Barack Obama to be elected in less than two weeks. We are seeing a record number of early voters for this election and apparently "the early electorate tends to be more Republican in their character than the Election Day electorate." A recent survey found that more Americans know about Joe the Plumber than Obama's ties to ACORN. A convicted ACORN employee tells about his schemes to register fake people to vote. This is rich ... John Murtha is currently losing in the polls! I guess that's what you get when you call your constituents racists and then rednecks. Condi Rice says that our government education system is our nation's greatest threat to national security and could undermine the US' ability to lead and compete globally. MoveOn.org is now producing videos of what it will be like if Obama loses by just one vote. Rep. Randy Kuhl of New York says the Democrats wanted the American public to suffer so that their party can make political gains this November. CNN says that the GOP has unveiled an ad suggesting Obama has basically won presidential race. Food prices in the House cafeterias are set to increase today due to rising food and gas costs. Some staffers have started a petition against the increase. Illegal immigration hasn't been at the forefront of this election season, but here's what is going on in Arizona with illegals and workplace verification laws. Foreign teachers are being hired to teach in our government schools because "American workers are not willing to do the work for the conditions and pay we offer." A radio host in Dubai was fired for impersonating God on the air. How politics is solved in the animal kingdom ... a mammoth spider devouring a bird. In a rare piece of hard hitting journalism, our local rag examines women's Halloween costumes and asks you, the reader, if they are too skimpy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
