JUST SO YOU KNOW .....

  • UPCOMING GUESTS

Just wanted to give you a heads up to tune in for the following guests scheduled for this week:

Summer is officially over pretty much everywhere now ... and that would include Alaska. The National Weather Service says that there were only two days out of the entire summer in Alaska where the temperature hit 70 degrees in Anchorage. That is a record .. the coldest summer in Alaskan history. It's that durned global warming
  • Wait! There's more! Yesterday was the first day of Spring in South Africa ... and much of South Africa had snow! Sunday night was the coldest September night in history. Again ... that dag-blamed global warming. If we don't do something about this global warming soon we're all going to freeze our keesters off.
  • We learn now that in Maine more than three-quarters of all government schooled eighth graders performed below standard on the state writing test. So ...what to do? The Maine education commissioner tossed the test results. They won't be a part of the next Maine Educational Assessment scores. Hopefully your are not surprised by this
  • Rumors now that the Democrats are going to try to add bailouts for the auto industry and - believe it or not - the credit card industry to the current bailout bill. They're gauging voter reaction and think that this may be their one and only chance.
  • We have Joe Biden out there telling anyone who will listen that his helicopter was "forced down" in Afghanistan. Now, when you hear that his helicopter was forced down, what do you imagine? Why, if you're like most half-bright Americans, you would come away with the idea that some action by either the Taliban or Al Qaeda forced Biden's helicopter down. You would think that ... and you would be wrong. Listen to the show today to find out what force did the forcing.
  • When Barack Obama, a/k/a "The Chosen One," ran for the Illinois state senate in 1996 he sought the endorsement of he New Party and used New Party members as campaign volunteers. In case you don't know - and you probably don't - the New Party was a Marxist organization made up largely of former members of the Democratic Socialists of America and ACORN. Vote for him anyway. After all, he's for change and he's black. What more could you ask?
  • The phrase "community organizer" is a code word for "black." Ditto for "skinny." Therefore, the use of those terms is racist. If Obama is elected president you will be shocked at how many thoughts you express about his policies will be deemed racist.
  • In July of this year ... that's right, this year ... Democrat Senator Chris Dodd was telling us that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack were in no trouble whatsoever and that there was no need for anyone to be panicking. Good call, Chris.

GAS PANIC IN ATLANTA BURBS

What fun. The rumors spread, and suddenly everybody seems to think that the world is going to come to an end if every gas tank in every car is absolutely full. So ... when you get down to three-fourths full, you head to the gas station. Oh what an episode! We seem to be tuned in with the idea of mass hysteria ... what with the Obama phenomenon and all. Here's your story.

BOORTZ POWER LUNCH!

Atlanta area folks, tickets are now on sale for the next Boortz Power Lunch this Friday, September 26th. Jamie Dupree and WSB Political Analyst Bill Crane will prepareĀ  you for that evening's first Presidential debate. Get all the info here. These are going to go fast!

OBAMA CAMPAIGN LINKED TO PALIN SMEARS

Wow. A blog by the name of Jawa Report has done some extensive research and come to a very startling revelation .... Barack Obama's campaign may be responsible for some of the viciously untrue smear videos about Sarah Palin. For details, you need to visit the Jawa Report, but here is a brief synopsis of their findings.

For weeks, we have seen these videos spreading rumors about Sarah Palin - things like Palin was a member of an Anti-American separatist organization. Now, Barack Obama's chief media strategist, David Axelrod, is notorious for stuff like this. He is the master of what they call "astroturfing," which means that he plants campaign messages on the internet and makes them appear as if they were the creation of these left-wing, Daily Kos, MoveOn type websites. In reality they are a front. They may be spread by these types of websites, but in the end, they are the product of the Obama campaign.

The videos have been connected to a professional Public Relations firm called Winner & Associates. Company employees and family members of this Winner and Associates have been connected with the placement of these videos on Youtube, on company time. These employees and family members sent notices to Democrat Underground and Daily Kos, trying to get these videos to be seen and spread.

Other evidence on the site includes the fact that the voice-over artist in the videos has worked extensively with David Axelrod's firm, which has a history of engaging in these types of phony grassroots efforts ... oh and the voice-over artist has actually worked directly with the Barack Obama campaign.

Within one hour of Jawa Report posting the information, the Winner and Associates employees had removed all the videos from Youtube and began to remove any traces of his activities. In time? Apparently not. Convenient.

There's a lot more, folks. It's just some information to keep in mind.

SPEAKING OF SARAH PALIN

Did you happen to catch Saturday Night Live this past weekend? I didn't get the chance to talk much about it yesterday, considering I was busy flapping my gums about the greedy predatory lenders. But SNL tried to do a skit, which ended up suggesting the Todd Palin (Sarah Palin's husband) committed incest with his teenage daughter.

Just this point: Imagine if a conservative had suggested this about Barack Obama.

THE DEMOCRATS AND THE FINANCIAL CRISIS

Yesterday on the program I brought you a lot of information about this nonsense with Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac. Nancy Pelosi, says that the Democrats are not to blame ... not one little bit! .. for our current situation. Not only is Nancy Pelosi wrong, it would seems as though she is trying to rewrite history. If you want to thank whoever who failed to see this train wreck coming, and who decided to vote against doing anything to correct it, thank your nearest Democrat representative.

Out of all of the stories I brought you yesterday, this one was the most requested. An article on Bloomberg.com called How the Democrats Created the Financial Crisis by Kevin Hassett. Here's the set up ... back in 2005, Alan Greenspan warned that Fannie and Freddie were on the path to putting our entire financial system at substantial risk. For the first time, a Fannie and Freddie reform bill was passed by the Senate Banking Committee. The bill was co-sponsored, by the way, by none other than John McCain. The bill would have required Fannie and Freddie to eliminate their investments in "risky assets" and it would have given a regulator the power to say "no way."

Here's the rest of the story from Bloomberg ...

"If that bill had become law, then the world today would be different. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, a blizzard of terrible mortgage paper fluttered out of the Fannie and Freddie clouds, burying many of our oldest and most venerable institutions. Without their checkbooks keeping the market liquid and buying up excess supply, the market would likely have not existed.

But the bill didn't become law, for a simple reason: Democrats opposed it on a party-line vote in the committee, signaling that this would be a partisan issue. Republicans, tied in knots by the tight Democratic opposition, couldn't even get the Senate to vote on the matter."

Now how does Barack Obama fit into this picture? Do the words Community Reinvestment Act and ACORN come to mind? How about the fact that Obama worked as a community organizer for ACORN. Yesterday I read you some quotes from leaders of so-called community groups bragging about their harassment tactics on banks aimed at getting them to make more loans to unqualified buyers. I'm sitting here waiting for some reporter to ask Obama is he was ever a part of any effort to force a bank to make loans to marginal homebuyers. I'm going to be waiting a long time ... 'cause it ain't gonna happen. Such a question would be clearly anti-Obama. Maybe even racist!

MCCAIN AND THE NEW YORK TIMES

Liberals have their boxers in a bunch because the McCain campaign stated the obvious. Yesterday a senior advisor to John McCain, Steve Schmidt, said that the New York Times is "completely, totally, 150 percent in the tank" for Democratic nominee Barack Obama.

Well duh. It doesn't take brain surgeon to realize that the Northeast, liberal media gang has pitched their tents for Barack Obama. The New York Times is, perhaps, the flagship. The most telling example recently ... The New York Times prints a piece written by Barack Obama, but just weeks later it refuses to print a piece by John McCain. The reason, they said, is because John McCain failed to include timelines for his plan in Iraq. Yeah, right.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Remember, folks. If Obama loses .. it will all be because of white racism. No other reason. Right?

Read how Barack Obama and his bomb-throwing pal William Ayers pushed radicalism on government school students in Chicago! This is some of the information that the left tried to keep under wraps.

Here is the speech Sarah Palin never got to give at the rally protest of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's UN appearance. She didn't give it because she was disinvited from the event. So many people are so afraid of this little housewife from Alaska.

Al Qaeda may be planning, what they call, an "October surprise." Don't worry. We're sure Barack will be up to it.

A town in California has changed its name to "Obama." It's no surprise that the "sign has created little fuss in this politically liberal area."

Slowly but surely, Republicans in Washington are opposing this $700 billion Wall Street bailout. The more vocal critics are South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint and Alabama Senator Richard Shelby.

Boy the liberal media sure is worked up over the number of cars owned by John McCain and his family. Why don't they go tell the autoworkers who earned money building those cars that they shouldn't have had the work.

This is always a good reminder of where the candidates' records stand when it comes to government waste ... Barack Obama is bad, but Biden is the worst.

After Sarah Palin's email account was hacked, the FBI has now searched the residence of the son of a Democrat lawmaker in Tennessee to see if he was involved in hacking the account. I'm looking forward to the perp walk.

The unions in this country have truly found their man - Barack Obama. Here are a few reasons as to why unions are willing to bet billions of dollars on this guy. It all boils down to power.

Roll Call has an unofficial list of the 50 wealthiest members of Congress. Know what? I would rather have a bunch of poor failures in Congress than successful wealthy types.

The government school system in Pittsburgh has decided that the lowest grade a teacher can give a student is 50%. And we wonder why our government education system produces a nation of incapable wussified whiners.

Here's the future of America ... an 11-year-old boy stole his foster mother's car and led police a high-speed chase through western Pennsylvania.

Here's one more story from Pennsylvania .... a Brookville solicitor is taking a local church to court for housing the homeless in a commercial district. The Reverend's defense he is following the Bible, which requires him to help the needy.

The average UK citizen breaks the law at least two times a day.

This truly is a government outrage ... from the UK: An "absurd" law designed to compensate people who were bombed out during the Second World War has been used to force a council to buy a patch of grass for more than 100 times its market value.
