Since the US population seems more interested in Britney Spears than in politics, here's an idea! I think I'll spend my 4 1/2 hours on the air today talking about the things that really matter to the American people. We'll start with the Super Bowl. Now before I start talking about the Super Bowl it will probably be incumbent on me to figure out who is playing and when the game is. I think the Arizona Cardinals are in there ... and I think it's in Tampa. Cristina will find out the rest for me.

After a rousing conversation about the Super Bowl we'll move on to Super Bowl TV commercials; especially that rejected PETA commercial that you won't get to see during the Super Bowl.

After we've exhausted the Super Bowl talk we'll move on to American Idol. I understand that another season is under way on Fox. Since almost every young person in this country steadfastly believes that they'll someday be famous -- either as a rock star or an athlete - my younger democrats are sure to soar.

When we're through with American Idol about 30-minutes conversation about Britney Spears should top things off nicely. Perhaps one segment about what a great body Barack Obama has.

Yeah ... like I could get through one hour of this without gagging.
