TAX REVOLT? NOT SO MUCH ... YET.

It was one week ago today that I told you about the Online Tax Revolt. The idea is actually pretty clever. You log on to the Online Tax Revolt. You click on "join the march." You then chose a leader to march with, or march as an independent. You select an avatar to represent you on the march ... and you're off to Washington DC. Every day you can log on to the march and locate your Avatar as it moves toward the rally in Washington on April 15th. This morning I was tromping through a field about six miles south of Lake Kissimmee in Osceola County, Florida. On April 15th we're going to have a big tax reform rally in DC. Hopefully thousands of actual people will show up .. but if you wish you can watch it streamed live and there you will see YOU! .... Well, your Avatar .. in the crowd.

OK .. one week into it, and there are only 66,000 people marching thus far. Maybe I had expectations that were unrealistic .. but I thought we would be well into the hundreds of thousands of people marching on Washington. How hard is this? You just log on, sign up and you're in the March! And we only have 66,0000 people? Are the detractors right? Is this really an indication that not many people are all that worked up over our tax system? That could easily be so ... after all, about one-half of American wage earners don't pay any income taxes anyway.

Well ... we'll see how the number looks tomorrow ... at the one week mark.
