EARTHQUAKE IN MASSACHUSETTS

Previous Posts

By Neal Boortz

Now this may be really hard for you to believe, but I would say that about 40% of the people in this country have no idea what has been going on in Massachusetts over the past month, let alone what happened yesterday. As near-impossible as it is to believe, the State of Massachusetts is sending a Republican to the United States Senate to occupy the seat once held by the revered JFK and his brother Ted.

The best way for me to handle this in the notes is just to start with some bullet points ... just write them down as they come to me:

Pundits say that this situation in Massachusetts really started to evolve just when Harry Reid called Nebraska Democrat Ben Nelson to his Capitol Hill office and bribed him with a tens of millions of borrowed dollars (that the taxpayers will have to pay back) to vote for the Senate version of ObamaCare. The situation really caught on fire when Obama had his closed-door meeting with labor unions and ended up giving them a pass on some of the ObamaCare tax increases.

What a wonderful anniversary president for The Chosen One. The loss of his precious filibuster-proof Senate majority. Did you happen to hear Slobbering Barney Frank on AirAmerica? Well hell ... of course you didn't. So, let me tell you. Now that the Democrats have lost their filibuster-proof majority in the Senate Slobbering Barney thinks it's time to change the Senate rules and end the filibuster. I don't really have to comment on this, do I?

People are wondering how The Community Organizer is going to react to this. Is he going to see the voter unrest out there and slow things down a bit? Or will he go pedal-to-the-metal and see how much he can ram through before more Democrat office holders fall by the wayside?

Is ObamaCare dead? For Obama to ask the House to just adopt the Senate bill and ram it through without any changes would be very much like asking these Democrats to sign a suicide pact.

Did you hear what Keith "The Prepuce" Olberman had to say about the new Senator from Massachusetts? Now remember, it's evil conservatives and Tea Party activists who spew forth the hate speech, right? Well The Prepuce called Brown a "irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea bagging, supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees." That's what passes for responsible commentary by Democrat Obama supporters.

Obama's batting average on the road isn't all that good right now. Let's look at the scorecard:

  • Travel to Copenhagen to get Olympics for Chicago. FAIL
  • Travel to Copenhagen to get some grand global warming treaty. FAIL
  • Campaign in Virginia for Creigh Deeds. Republican Bob McDonnell wins. FAIL
  • Campaign in New Jersey for Jon Corzine. Republican Chris Christie wins. FAIL
  • Campaign in Massachusetts for Martha Coakley. Scott Brown wins. FAIL

I don't know, but it seems to me that the worse thing that can happen to a Democrat candidate for office right now is to have PrezBO come make a campaign speech.

How will Republicans react to this? Will they get cocky? Look .. this election didn't go this way because Scott Brown was a particularly brilliant campaigner, or because Martha Coakley was a complete dud. Sure, those were factors --- but the driving influence was this horrendous health care bill and the special deals Obama and the Democrats were willing to make to get it passed. This sense of desperation on the part of Democrats sounded an alarm in the voters of Massachusetts. Add to this the tripling of the deficit, massive debt that our children won't be able to pay off .. and this is the cake you bake.

Can someone tell me why in the world I waited until this morning before I used the auto-correct function on my word processor to automatically change the letters "ma" into Massachusetts? Well .. at least I know how to spell it now. Connecticut is next.

Outreach workers in and around Boston have been stunned by the number of Democrats and Obama supporters who are waving them off, saying they'll vote for Scott Brown.

The Wall Street Journal calls this "The Boston Tea Party." That ought to infuriate the left. They have a blinding and searing hatred for the Tea Party movement.
