SUPREME COURT

By Neal Boortz

Question to Elena Kagan from Tom Coburn of the Senate Judiciary Committee:

"Do we have the power to tell people what to eat every day?"

Answer from the Supreme Court nominee:

Well ... there wasn't an answer.

Is Kagan a liberal? Certainly. Will she go for a strict interpretation of the Constitution? Absolutely not. Was it alarming that she couldn't or wouldn't answer the "what to eat" question? Well, considering that the government seems to have the power to tell you that you can't eat Bald Eagle, and it's also illegal to starve a child. Perhaps the question needed to be a bit clearer. The point is, the voters put a man into the White House who has engaged in a lifetime flirtation with Marxism and socialism and who said that he was going to "fundamentally change" the United States of America. What do you expect? He gets to make the judicial nominations, and unless she turns out to be a wanted criminal or she failed to withhold Social Security taxes on an illegal alien dog walker, she should be confirmed. As they say .. elections have consequences. You put an incompetent like Obama in the White House, and then give him a Democrat majority in the House and the Senate ... you get Elena Kagans.
