BUT LET'S NOT GIVE THEM ANY MORE AMMUNITION

By Neal Boortz

We know that there are, in fact, some crazed fools out there who have gone far overboard in expressing their anger at Pelosi's power play. The Democrats will take these isolated incidents and, as you are seeing, parlay them into an effective strategy to silence and denigrate ObamaCare opponents. The best thing we can do, then, is to deprive them of any further ammunition. If the Democrats can be forced into an actual conversation about the merits, disadvantages and outright illegalities of their precious ObamaCare they will lose the battle.

The left cannot win a battle in the arena of ideas. They can only prevail in the arena of hysteria and emotion.

So ... if I may: I understand the anger. Remember the Kipling thing about being able to keep your head when all around you are losing theirs? We now have ObamaCare. In coming months the Democrats are going to start pushing for a Value Added Tax ... probably after the mid-term elections. I'm also convinced beyond a doubt that the Obama crowd intends to launch an assault your IRAs, your 401Ks and your pension funds. They need this money to keep their spending dreams alive.

To defeat these dangerous Statists we must remain calm. Approach the task of restoring the essence of America with steadfast resolve. The future of our Republic depends on it. There have been previous generations of Americans who have fought and died to preserve our way of life. Now this generation is being called on. Though we don't necessarily have to die, we most certainly do have to fight.

This next election could spell the beginning of the end for the United States, or the beginning of a revival. All is lost, though, if we either engage in or tolerate violence or threats of violence. The ballot box still works, my friends. You may not have the time to stage a march on Washington before the election ... but there's one march you most certainly can participate in; and that's the march to the ballot box next November. March tall; march proud .. and march peacefully. Politely explain your motives and beliefs to anyone who might listen. If some people just don't want to hear it ...move on. They're probably wearing sports jerseys and carrying copies of US Weekly anyway. There are too many people who are truly curious and could benefit from your insight on some of the things that are happening to our country ... too many people for you to waste time with insults and threats. We have right on our side. Our place is to defend freedom. Their place is to defend the suffocating bureaucracy of big government. Study ... read ... listen and develop your talking points. The battle is on. You won't have to drag your burlap-covered feet mile after mile over frozen ground. You will have to drag your linen-covered butt off the couch and become a part of the second American revolution. We have history the people's unquenchable love of liberty on our side. The advantage is ours; don't give it away through mindless acts.
