Now if you aren't paying full attention to the news you'll probably form an impression that a bunch of top Republicans went to a bondage club in Hollywood ... probably to get their hineys spanked. That's sure the impression that I got before I decided to check out the story. What did happen was that some Southern California GOP consultant --- not a Republican official, a consultant - took some folks to this club where topless woman dancers would imitate lesbian sex. The expense report was submitted to the Republican National Committee and was somehow approved.

Thus far there is no evidence that any Republican officials were at this club, though you would hardly know that from the media coverage. And RNC Chairman Michael Steele was unaware of the expenditure.

Yes .. it's bad enough. How do you approve an expenditure of money donated to the RNC for this purpose? Someone needs to answer. But it somehow doesn't seem to be as horrible as some in the media are making it. After all, we all know that Democrats never go to strip clubs.
