HELPING OUT AN ATLANTA ADVERTISER

By Neal Boortz

For over 20 years I've seen various Atlanta businesses try to take advantage of their competitors who advertise on my program. This is most often done by doing business under a name similar to that of my advertiser and then saying "Yes, that's us!" when someone calls and asks "Are you the folks who advertise on The Neal Boortz Show?"

The latest business to have a problem is my long-time advertiser the Overhead Door Company of Atlanta. These people are so good at working with garage doors that I even had them travel all the way to Naples to take care of a pesky problem down there. Of course they built the garage door for my new place in Atlanta that, rumor has it, I will actually be able to move into in about six weeks or so.

So ... here are some hints if you want to make sure you are dealing with the right people, and not some company that operates under several different names and has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. First ... It's the Overhead Door Company of Atlanta. Not plural. Door, not "doors", and their website is www.OverheadDoorAtlanta.com If you see a website where "Door" is pluralized, it is NOT my advertiser. You can also look for the Red Ribbon on the website and on their advertising. I vet my advertisers extremely carefully. I do not personally endorse any product or service that I or a member of my family don't either use or own. Non-advertisers will recognize the value of the advertising and try to piggyback. Just be alert. Thanks.
