This one comes from none other than our own Vice President Joe Biden. I guess I shouldn't expect much else these days. What is amazing about liberals is that they are brazenly admitting, almost flaunting, the fact that their goal is to redistribute the wealth in this country. What is even more disheartening is that there are voters out there who support this idea and will continue to vote these people into power. So here is the quote for the day, from Joe Biden. Keep in mind, as you read, that the top 1% of taxpayers earn22% of the income in the United States but pay 40% of the taxes.
"It's a simple proposition to us: Everyone is entitled to adequate medical health care," Biden says. "If you call that a 'redistribution of income' -- well, so be it. I don't call it that. I call it just being fair -- giving the middle class taxpayers an even break that the wealthy have been getting ... Taxes have been lowered for the wealthy considerably over the years ... It's about time we get a little tax equity here."
Tax equity? Oh .. you mean where everyone pays something? What is equitable about over 50% of the people in this country getting more in checks FROM the government than they actually pay in taxes? The top 5% of income earners in this country pay about 90% of all income taxes. Yeah ... I think some tax equity would be a wonderful idea.
