No, this isn't about a teenage wedding (a reference lost on my younger listeners). Maybe just a message on pre-judging situations.

A friend of mine bought a nifty black Escalade .. and it came with some big chrome rims. He had to drive to Miami from Naples for some business a few weeks ago and .. as many before him have done .. managed to take a wrong turn and end up in a neighborhood he would not have chosen to drive through. As he was working his way through the neighborhood he noticed that he was attracting an inordinate amount of attention from the locals. A white dude in a black Escalade, tinted windows, rims .. the full nine yards. Finally he found himself at a stop sign. Before he could get moving again his car was virtually surrounded by young black males with their do-rags, pants on on the ground ... the works. They circled the car slowly ... looking at my friend, his family and the Escalade. My friend was expecting the worse. Then one of the brothers walked up to the driver's door, leaned down, peered in the window and reached out ... and gave him a big thumbs-up. They then all walked away. Kinda makes you feel good, doesn't it?
