Over the weekend, news outlets published a selection of more than 250,000 American diplomatic cables, which were provided by the website WikiLeaks. Talk about stirrin' the puddin'. If you haven't had time to pour through the hundreds of thousands of documents, here are 10 key revelations from the cables ...
The list is growing of people calling for criminal investigations into the people who leaked the information. Hillary Clinton and our corrupt attorney general Eric Holder are leading the charge.
Wikileaks a terrorist organization?
Republican Congressman Peter King thinks it might be a good idea to declare Wikileaks a terrorist organization and prosecute it as such. Sorry .. not a good idea. Following King's idea would, in effect, define terrorism down. Terrorism can be defined as engaging in mass murder of non-combatant civilians in pursuit of a political goal. The Wikileaks stuff doesn't fit the definition.
What to do? Durn .. this one is tough. I always default to freedom. I believe that once the media has this information the protections of a free press come into play. As for this Julian Assange character ... clearly he dislikes America intensely and seeks to weaken our country. That's not a crime. In fact, that makes him not unlike our esteemed ruler.
The solution here is, I'm afraid, to lick our wounds and do something about protecting our classified material. As for this Army PFC being held at Quantico? If it's proven that he's the one who leaked the information to Assange ... then it's a firing squad.
