Barack Obama is now pinning evil rich people against poor students who are aspiring to go to college.  Remember that according to Barack Obama, extending the Bush tax cuts means giving "tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires."  First of all, there is no call for giving tax cuts .. Republicans simply want to maintain the tax rates we've been operating under for over seven years.  Keeping tax rates where they are doesn't constitute "cutting taxes."  Secondly, these tax cuts aren't just for millionaires and billionaires .. they are for people earning $250,000, including small business owners, investors, job creators, etc.  As we've pointed out before, a married couple in Chicago consisting of a high school principal and a veteran fire department official would have their taxes increased under Obama's plan ... so much for the "millionaires and billionaires" nonsense.  But ... just where do the students come into the picture?  In an interview yesterday, Obama made the following statement ...

Right now, the Republicans main idea for the economy is extending tax cuts for the wealthiest individuals ... and to help pay for this, they want to cut education spending by 20%. Which would mean that essentially we would take away Pell grants, cut student loans for young people aspiring to go to college, to give millionaires and billionaires a $100,000 check.

See how that happens?  Somehow, allowing evil rich people to keep more of their money has become "giving millionaires and billionaires a $100,000 check."   Check?  Where does this $100,000 check come from?  There's no check.  People - including small businessmen who provide the jobs for well over 50% of all Americans - would simply be allowed to keep the money that they have earned ... money that Obama now plans to seize.  When you allow someone to keep money they have earned you are not "writing them a check."  This is pure unadulterated class warfare ... something Democrats have specialized in for decades and have now raised to an art form.  Isn't it a pity.  Poor kids are going to be denied a college education because evil rich people are going to be allowed to keep more of the money they earn that Obama deems justified.
