Joe Biden is known for his crazy quotes. But this little gem really gives you some insight into the mind of a man who is in love with government ...
"Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive," he said. "In the middle of the Civil War you had a guy named Lincoln paying people $16,000 for every 40 miles of track they laid across the continental United States. ... No private enterprise would have done that for another 35 years."
In his eyes, all great things come from government. Government is the solution to all of our problems. The current backlash against the "establishment" is baffling to someone who sees nothing but "great ideas" coming from government. Unfortunately for our future, there are millions of people who have been taught these same principles in a place known as government schools. The Obama-Biden administration is an example of what an unadulterated love of government can produce.
Remember ... Obama and his vice president believe that America's greatness comes from government. This is a belief prevalent among leftists and Democrats. Perhaps you have a different idea of what has made this country great. Maybe you think it had something to do with free and self-reliant people working with and among one another under a system of laws which promoted economic liberty and personal rights. There's one big difference between you and our pathetic president.
