I covered this on the show yesterday … but it occurs to me that there are some folks out there who don’t get the program but who read Nealz Nuze on the web everyday.  So I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss this gem.

We’re going to Lakeville, Minnesota.  There we have a school district that is having financial problems.  In fact, according to an article on StarTribune.com the Lakeville schools are cutting spending by $7 million and are actually shutting one school down.  Katherine Kersten also writes that 94 teachers are losing their jobs.

But the budget crunch at Lakeville government schools hasn’t affected their penchant for worshiping the Gods of political correctness.  It seems that after all of this budget angst the Lakeville school honchos still have enough money to send a delegation of Lakeville’s finest government school teachers to Minneapolis to attend the “12th Annual White Privilege Conference.”  How very special!  You think I’m kidding!  Well here’s the website!  See for yourself!  Apparently these White Privilege Conferences are all the rage these days!  I guess one of the privileges of being white is not knowing these little conclaves were going on!  I’m feeling very deprived here.  It seems there’s also going to be one in Albuquerque, and there’s even a white privilege speaker’s bureau to provide just the right speaker if you should wish to hold one yourself!  Would you like to see some of the people involved in these White Privilege Conferences?  You bet!  Here’s a link for that!  I particularly liked the woman who was talking about living in a toxic culture dedicated (or something like that) to corporate profits.

At any rate … you want an idea of what is wrong with our government schools?  Do you wonder why I insist that one of primary obligations of any parent is to make sure their children are not turned over to the government to be educated?  Well then just think about the 1,500 teachers, students, counselors and activists who are slated to attend this event in Minnesota. Elementary and high school teachers, college professors, school counselors.  Watch the video and listen to these government school teachers talk about all of the wonderful lessons they’re going to have to take back to their government school classrooms.  Can’t you just see your child having some problem with other students at school, only to walk into a counselor’s office and learn that your child is blessed with “white privilege” and is the real oppressor here?

If you take a good look at the website you’ll read that the entire WPC is “built on the premise that the U.S. was started by white people, for white people.”  You will read also that Americans “are completely dependent on U.S. imperialism and war to sustain our daily lives” and our schools were set up to “..perpetuate white supremacy and white privilege.”

In her StarTribune.com column Kersten points out that in the upcoming Minneapolis WPC the attendees are going to hear from the lovely Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz who speaks on “issues of capitalism and imperialism who cut her teeth in Cuba with the Venceremos Brigade” and who also built “associations with other revolutionaries across the spectrum of radical and underground politics.”  Oh goodie!  A communist!

You do know what’s going on here, don’t you?  This is leftist, anti-capitalist and perhaps even anti-white crap being fed to government school teachers (among other types) who just can’t wait to bring it back to their government classrooms where your children sit eagerly soaking up this wonderful “knowledge.”  These conferences are nothing less than organized attempts to institutionalize the teaching and promotion of white guilt in our government school classrooms along with a dose of good-ole leftist anti-capitalism.  Gotta love these government schools.

Now here’s an idea:  Since these White Privilege Conferences are apparently happening in many different locals, why don’t you call your local school board and ask if they are sending any of their teachers or administrators to attend one of these goodies.  Don’t let the BS you on this … demand an answer.  It could get interesting.

By the way  … if you happen to be of the non-white persuasion, and it occurs to you that you would like to call the program and tell me all about white privilege, knock yourself out, sport!  Someone tried that yesterday and I don’t think that particular person will be giving that a shot again any time soon.  Let’s just say that every ethnicity in this country seems to have its own set of “privileges,” if you will.  So give it a shot if you’re feeling gutsy.

By the way … you do understand that the very fact that I have had something negative to say about these absurd White Privilege Conferences makes me a racist, don’t you?  Yeah … I don’t care either.

I’m white, and I approved this blog entry.
