A really bad day for labor unions in Wisconsin.  Yeah … that makes me so sad.  The labor unions and the Democrats needed to win three of the six recall elections in order to regain control of the Wisconsin Senate.  They won two.  Now two Democrat state senators --- you remember, the ones who hid outside of the state to avoid doing the jobs they were elected to do --- face a recall election next Tuesday.  Perhaps the two wins the unions enjoyed yesterday will be wiped out.

Government employee labor unions – with their ridiculous pension benefits and costly work rules -- are at the core of the fiscal problems faced by state and local governments across the nation.  The more the taxpayers realize this the closer we come to restoring some fiscal sanity to governance in America. 

Another good result from the Wisconsin recall elections:  The unions spent tens of millions of dollars trying to regain control of the Senate.  This is money that has been wasted and will not be available to support the reelection of our Dear Ruler.
