Only one-quarter of Americans now approve of Obama’s handling of the economy.  The one-quarter that approves are happy because either Obama is supporting their economic dreams with government money, or promoting their slovenly lifestyle with government handouts.

A new Gallup poll finds that just 26% of Americans approve of Dear Ruler’s big government approach, which is definitely a record low for Obama.  HotAirPundit astutely points out that in November of 2008, 76% of Americans believed that Barack Obama would improve economic conditions and calm the markets.  What were these people basing this on?  Hope!  Change!  “We got Barack Obama!”  Now you see where that got us.

It has been two years, and almost eight months since Barack Obama was inaugurated.  We are $3.7 trillion poorer and we spend 24% more than we did in 2008.  There are 2.5 million fewer Americans working and businesses are paying $38 billion more every year just to comply with federal regulations.  He had time to do all of that … what is taking so long to come up with a “jobs plan” that he will not reveal to us until after he goes on a vacation to Martha’s Vineyard?

What wisdom could Obama possible gain over his vacation that would lead him to any other solutions other than raise taxes and increase spending?  For example, in Kansas City on Tuesday of this week, Obama said that he wants to rein in long-term spending in order to spend on jobs programs “here and now.”  What does this mean?  More government spending!  More ‘stimulus.’
