How long has it been - well over a year - that I have been telling you that Barack Obama did not write "Dreams From My Father?" Now this is a story that the mainstream media, or what I like to call the ObamaMedia, simply will not touch. But there have been quite a few literary experts out there who have opined that Dreams from My Father was actually written by Barack's domestic terrorist communist pal Bill Ayres. There have been lengthy studies comparing the literary styles in Dreams from My Father to the writings of Bill Ayres. The studies also compare the literary style in Dreams from My Father to Obama's efforts in The Audacity of Hope, his second book. If you both books, one after the other, you will see that the literary style in the second book is much more, shall we say, "ordinary" than the style in Dreams From My Father. If you want to take the comparisons a bit further, you might compare the literary style in Dreams with the writings of Bill Ayres. If you do so -- again, with the rational mind -- you will see a strong similarity between the two styles. If you don't want to do all of this work on your own, you can read the book "Deconstructing Obama" by Jack Cashill. He has done the work for you.
Why all this, again? Well apparently Bill Ayres made some sort of a reference recently to him being the author of Dreams from My Father. Most will say that he was joking, but it brings this little mini controversy out into the open again.
I think it's an important question. Bill Ayres was a domestic terrorist. He is a dedicated communist revolutionary. When Barack Obama had his coming out party -- in other words, when he made his carefully staged and planned announcement that he intended to enter the world of politics, he chose to make that announcement in the living room of communist revolutionary Bill Ayres, a man Obama has since claimed that he "barely knew." If it can be shown that Bill Ayres was actually the main ghost writer for Obama's first book, this "barely knew" line turns into an overt lie. There is also the issue of Obama's almost lifelong attraction to communism and communist activists. Maybe it's just me, but I find these past associations to be more than a little troubling in light of Obama's present clear disdain for free markets and economic liberty.
Who knows, maybe someday the ObamaMedia will pay a little bit of attention to the question of who actually wrote Dreams from My Father. For now those questions will be left up to hate filled radio talk show hosts such as myself, and the curvy couch at the Fox news Channel. Another reason, of course, that Fox is so hated by the left.
