Like many of you, I’m starting to get debate saturation. The best event of the last month was the sit-down with Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain. It’s a good idea to center debates on various issues – but too often the candidates stray off topic to make their own campaign points. Here in Naples the CBS station switched to a rerun of NCIS. I understand that other stations pulled the same stunt pretty much across the country.
Michelle Bachmann is upset because a CBS Email Showed Michele Bachmann Was Intentionally Asked Few Questions at Saturday's Debate. CBS email made it clear that she, and other marginal candidates, would get a limited number of questions. Actually, I think CBS gets this one right. It’s a ratings game, and Bachmann and Santorum just haven’t been getting the ratings. You go where the numbers indicate your viewers want you to go .. and that’s to the candidates who rank the highest in the polls. Hey, Michelle. If you want more questions from the moderators, step it up and move higher in the polls. That should do it. All in all --- CBS was pretty much panned for Republican debate performance
My favorite point was when Newt Gingrich Schooled CBS's Pelley on Killing American Born Terrorists Overseas. Pelly is no match for Gingrich .. and neither is Obama.
