Don’t forget that every Friday at Noon is the Presidential Power Hour where we catch you up with the latest on what happened this week in the bumpy race for the GOP nomination. I say bumpy because we have seen the dramatic rise and fall of many candidates.
Just last month, Herman Cain was leading in many of the polls, including those in the crucial state of Iowa. Now, the landscape has completely shifted. Herman has now dropped to third place in Iowa with 13% of the vote. Mitt Romney remains in second place with 19% of the vote. And surging to the top in Iowa is none other than Newt Gingrich.
Considering Newt’s rise to the top, now we have to ask ourselves this question … is Newt electable? Dick Morris says “Hell, yes.”
The biggest obstacle in this election may be the ObamaMedia. The Republican candidate will have to find a way to communicate his message to the American people, without the ObamaMedia filter. What the GOP candidate will not be able to control is the ObamaMedia’s eagerness to destroy him … something you certainly won’t see with their “sort of a God” Barack Obama (PBUH). For example, the ObamaMedia has been harping on Herman Cain’s reference to the “Cuban” language. Come on, folks. Who can seriously believe that Herman doesn’t know the language of Cuba? The point is that the ObamaMedia is willing to hammer on any gaffe, no matter how small, by a GOP candidate, while virtually ignoring the gaffes of their Dear Ruler. For example, do you remember when Barack Obama asked how to say a phrase in “Austrian?” And that wasn’t at some small town restaurant on the campaign trail, Obama made this comment at a freakin’ Nato summit. But you probably never heard that clip before. Why? Because it makes Obama look like a fool. How about the 57 states thing, and Hawaii being in Asia, and his story about that Navy Corpseman. Give me a break here. Obama called you lazy, did you know that? Oh! You didn’t? Well maybe because that little comment received a grand total of just 36 seconds on the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) morning and evening news shows.
