Hat’s off to Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed this morning. Last night he sent in the Atlanta Police to clear the occupiers out of Woodruf Park. To everyone’s credit, there was no violence. Most occupiers left, a small group decided to stay and be arrested.
Mayor Reed has estimated the cost to city taxpayers for handling the useful idiots thus far at around $300,000. That’s about enough.
One of the chants the occutards like to repeat is “this is what democracy looks like.” They don’t know it, but they actually make a good point here. The rule of law says that you get a permit before you have a large gathering or a rap concert on city property. Mob rule – the rule of democracy – says that whatever the majority wants the majority gets. Kasim Reed demonstrated the rule of law in Atlanta last night, and demonstrated it well.
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
