Barack Obama is on a fundraising tour, masked as an effort to do something about jobs in this country.  His “jobs” bill is, and will remain, a failure in Congress.  But the sentiment behind his bill remains: save our country by allowing the government to spend money, which it will get by taxing rich people.  In fact, his jobs bill called for a 5.6% surtax on those evil millionaires and billionaires.  That is on top of the effort he is already making to ensure that the Bush tax cuts expire for wealthy Americans. 

 So at a fundraiser at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Barack Obama tried to tell these rich people that patriotic Americans are OK with paying a little bit more in taxes.  Obama explains:

“But last week, we had a separate vote on a part of the jobs bill that would put 400,000 teachers, firefighters and police officers back on the job, paid for by asking people who make more than $1 million to pay one-half of 1 percent in additional taxes.”

 Only .5%?  Well that’s not so much, is it?  You do understand, don’t you, that this is not the whole truth.  Obama’s original plan was this 5.6% surtax.  Now he is cutting his tax increase (jobs) bill into many segments, each of which will call for a tax increase on the rich.  The total?  Back to the 5.6% surtax.  We are not talking about just $500 here.  But Obama continues …

“Most people making more than $1 million, if you talk to them, they’ll say, I’m willing to pay $500 extra to help the country. They’re patriots.”

 This is Barack Obama being dishonest for the purpose of influencing the idiots who are likely to vote for him in the next election.  First of all … one-half of one percent of one million dollars is NOT $500.  It’s $5,000.  Isn’t this amazing?  Obama stands up there and talks about a ½% surtax on incomes over a million .. and says that would be $500!~  It’s ten times that much!  And nobody says anything!  Why isn’t the ObamaMedia calling him on this one! 

 So while Obama delivers deliberate lies to the people, what is he REALLY considering? 

 In his jobs bill that failed Obama proposed a 5.6% surtax on millionaires.  That's a minimum of $56,000.  That’s a far cry from $500.  Obama understands human nature … especially the human nature of people that are likely (read ignorant enough) to vote for him.  If he can talk about ½% tax increases here and ½% tax increases there … all adding up to almost 6% … the people won’t see the cumulative effect.  They’ll just listen to the soundbites and say “Wow .. .$500 isn’t all that much.  What’s the matter with these rich people?    

 Actually, Barry, I do consider myself a patriot, and I’m more than willing to pay $500 to demonstrate my love for this country.  That's why I'll pay $500 to the Herman Cain campaign.  I’m going to pay another $500 to Newt.  And when the Republicans chose their candidate, I will max out what I can contribute.  THAT is what a patriot will do in the next election.  A true patriot will give until it hurts to get Barack Obama out of office.  They will do it not only for their country, but they will do it for their children and their grandchildren.  They will do it in order to save something of this country .. to save something of the free enterprise system .. to save something of opportunity and freedom and the rule of law for their children.  

 Due to a weird set of wild circumstances, we have put a dedicated Marxist revolutionary in the White House.  From the moment Barack Obama set foot in this country, he has been dedicated to destroying our capitalist system and transforming it into a Marxist/socialist welfare state.  At one point in his youth, that dedication was through violent means.  Now it is through political means.   And we, the voters, got sucked into this thing by the malfeasance of the Bush administration.  We got suckered into this by an economic disaster, generated principally by the Democrat Party.  And we were duped by a glib, good-looking, articulate man by the name of Barack Obama and a media that fawned over him -- calling him “sort of a God” and telling us that being president would be a step down for him.

 The patriots will be forgoing more pleasurable spending decisions to put as much money into the defeat into this dangerous, un-American man as they possibly can.  That's what the patriots will be doing.
