One more thing .. expect for Democrats to use this stastics in their future wealth-envy games.  As the supercommittee looks to cut spending, and as Obama pushes to increases taxes on rich Americans, I am going to go ahead and do them a favor and write their talking points for them.  Here it is:

While more Americans than ever are living in poverty, Republicans are fighting to protect the wealthiest Americans and the corporations.

This is a mindless exercise in political pandering.  Lord help us.
