In-state tuition for illegal immigrants By Neal Boortz
Rick Perry was battered in the last debate over his decision to allow illegal immigrants in Texas to pay in-state tuition at public colleges and universities. He said to the other candidates disagreeing with him on the issue, “But if you say that we should not educate children who have come into our state for no other reason than because they’ve been brought there by no fault of their own, I don’t think you have a heart. We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society.”
Now Rhode Island is set to become the latest state to allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at public colleges and universities, after the education board approved the measure unanimously .
