Dear Ruler is achieving some records … by that I mean some record-low approval ratings.  America’s confidence in Obama is lower than a skink’s belly.  But what is equally embarrassing is the apparent lack of regard for Obama’s leadership among Congress.  Even after a speech pressing Congress to “pass this bill, right away,” followed by a campaign tour through several states to sell the bill, Obama’s own Democrats in the Senate apparently missed the memo on immediacy.  You will recall  that they were slow in filing the bill to begin with, allowing for a Republican to claim the title “American Jobs Act” for their own tax cut bill.  But even now, just where is The Community Organizer’s bill?  Apparently Harry Reid has put it off … until after they return from vacation.  But when they get back from vacation, is it the first bull out of the gate?  Hardly?  Harry Reid apparently thinks it is more pressing to label China as a currency manipulator than it is to take up Obama’s jobs bill.  And on the House side, Obama had to go and request that a Democrat file his jobs bill.  A poor sap by the name of Rep. James Lankford of Oklahoma complied, but the bill has yet to collect even one co-sponsor.

What kind of confidence does this imply?  And yet Obama is standing up at the bully-pulpit and lecturing us about his knowledge on modern industrial economies?  Let’s talk about that ..
