Here’s something the proggies are going to hate. A hospital in Victoria, Texas by the name of Citizens Medical Center has a hiring policy that is sure to twist some thongs: They won’t hire obese people. That’s right … lardasses, anyone with a BMI over 35, need not apply. However, if you are already an employee and become a blubberbutt, you will not be fired.
It is not illegal in Texas to discriminate based on weight when hiring an employee. The only state where that is currently illegal is Michigan and a few proggie hot-beds like San Francisco and Washington DC.
The public relations director of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance … no that is not a joke, there really is such a thing … says, “So the field of medicine is no longer an option for people of larger body size? What a waste of talent.” A waste of talent? How about a waste of company resources to hire a lardass? Fat workers miss an extra 20 days of work each year on average. Fat workers cost companies an estimated $6,302 in lost productivity, and that doesn’t even include their increased health costs.
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
