Would you rather have a ruler who you think is “cool” or would you rather have a leader who can foster economic growth?  That seems to be the choice Americans have to make, based on recent polling.  Most Americans like Barack Obama, but when it comes to the economy, they believe that Romney can do a better job handling it.

Considering that most Americans place “the economy” or “jobs” as their top concern, this should really be a no-brainer.  But apparently even that may not be enough to sway voters who are blinded by their adoration of this “sort of a God” Barack Obama.  He’s, like, so cool … you know what I’m sayin’?

Tell that to your children in 15 years.  Tell that to your grandchildren.  Tell them that in 2012 there was a very important election here in the U.S.  Tell your children and grandchildren that we were struggling to recover from a recession that had begun five years earlier, and that we were in the middle of the worst economic recovery in history. Tell that that the president who was in office .. Barack Obama .. had actually lost jobs during his first term, not added them.  You can also tell your children and grandchildren that the median income in the U.S. had actually gone down during this man’s time in the oval office.  Tell them that NO president in history had ever produced economic growth as low as this president.  Tell them all of this … and then you can tell them that there was another guy running for president against Obama, a man with a great deal more experience than Obama, and one who had a glowing record as a problem solver.  Then sit them down and tell them that you just had to vote for Obama in that election years ago.  You just HAD to!  Maybe you had to vote for him because he looked like you.  Or maybe you can tell your children and grandchildren you voted for him because he was a Democrat --- and you ALWAYS vote for Democrats.  Or … maybe you just liked the guy.  Your children or grandchildren aren’t experiencing the economic opportunities, the economic liberty, and the personal freedoms or the level of affluence that you might have experienced.  That’s OK though.  You liked Obama.  Maybe he looked like you.  You just HAD to vote for him.  Yeah … I’m sure your children and grandchildren would completely understand.

Folks, president of the United States is not a popularity contest or some sort of reality show.  But this is the low to which is seems our society has sunk.  Just take a look at the latest outrage – the dog outrage.  Yesterday’s news cycle was dominated by Secret Service hooker habits and Mitt Romney putting a dog on top of his car nearly 20 years ago on a family trip.  Then the whole brouhaha gets even more ridiculous when the news is released that Obama ate dog as a child in Indonesia.  Yes, this is what “politics” has resorted to.

Anyone who is truly concerned about the future of this country must recognize how difficult this upcoming election is going to be.  Not only do you have to work against the ObamaMedia but you have to work against an electorate that is more concerned about Michelle Obama’s latest outfit than the precarious situation with Iran.
