Period.
I don’t think the Edwin Edward’s scenario of being found in bed with “a live boy or a dead girl” is going to come into play here. After last night’s sweep we know with certainty that the GOP presidential nomination is going to go to Mitt Romney. Flaws? Absolutely. Am I completely satisfied with is stance on a number of libertarian and conservative issues? Are you? Certainly not. But he is going to be the nominee. If you’re not prepared to deal with that and move forward to defeat Obama they you’re simply not in touch with reality.
Last night Romney made a speech after the results of yesterday’s five primaries were known. The signs read “A better America begins tonight.” I’ve heard him speak quite a few times, but last night was the first time I really heard him on his game.
One particular part of Romney’s comments that I like is his confrontation of the unions, particular government employee unions. He expressed his support of school choice and bringing government employee unions back to some sense of economic reality. I can promise you that today the unions are making their plans to gin up their election war rooms. The unions will pour tens of millions into this election to get Obama reelected and to support Democrat candidates for Senate and Congress. And while the unions are pouring their tens of millions into the campaign liberals and proggies will bemoan the presence of corporate dollars in the mix. As we all know, it’s perfectly OK for unions to be politically active; but it’s just not good for America if businesses try to have their voices heard.
Once again …. Let’s try to explain just who the people will be who will support Obama in this reelection bid …. Support him even though he has absolutely NO record of success to run on. Here they are … all lined up for your scrutiny .. the Obama myrmidons:
There … I guess that pretty much wraps it up. Brevity is the soul of wit.
