OK … I really guess I ought to put together some program notes before I stumble into the studio this morning. Long night of celebrating. My Queen, Donna, received a Bridge Builder Award from the Atlanta Area Technical College last night … and there were friends, colleagues … and a bar. And as many people said to me last night … “But Neal! You don’t drink!” Oh yeah? Proved them wrong, I did. I was celebrating an amazing woman.
So …. Today you get some intemperate thoughts.
And no --- I’m not hung over. I don’t get hangovers. I give hangovers.
Yes … there is an actual Democrat Congressman named Chaka Fattah. Say that about ten times real fast. Kinda cool. Well, ChakaFattah says that many of the unemployed are going to be voting for Barack Obama. Why’s that? Well it certainly isn’t because of his jobs-creating track record. Nosireeee. Congressman Chaka says it’s because that way they will be able to keep their unemployment benefits. We all know many of the unemployed think this way … but why say it on national TV? Maybe when he retires from congress he’ll get a show on the ChakaChannel.
Atlanta taxpayers are waiting breathlessly to see how much Atlanta Falcons owner is going to ask them to pony up for his new One Billion Dollar stadium. He wants the Falcons to be able to play outdoors. He also wants more suites and stuff that generate money. We will be told that this is the only way to get a Super Bowl in Atlanta. Maybe so --- but the Super Bowl and a new stadium will in no way come close to covering the additional costs to the taxpayers. If Blank wants a new stadium … he can pay for it.
The budget proposed by Caesar Obammus in 2012 will result in a deficit of $26 trillion dollars by 2022. That’s ten years from now. And at the risk of wearing out my zero key, that’s $26,000,000,000,000.00. Here’s a handle on that number. If you were to spend $1,000 per minute 24-hours per day, it would take you about 18.5 days to spend $26 million dollars. How long would it take you to spend $26 Trillion dollars? Try 49,000 years. That’s the debt your children and grandchildren are going to have to pay.
Mitt Romney speaks to a campaign crowd in front of a banner which reads “Obama isn’t Working.” Immediately the race whores are screaming. This is a “loaded” accusation because it is aimed at our first black president. So there you have it. During this year’s campaign Romney is going to have to weigh and vet every single thing he says in light of the fact that he is running against our “first black president.” This is easy to handle. Just say it’s his white half that isn’t working.
A survey by Safe Kids Worldwide and Johnson & Johnson (who make Band-Aides) have determined that 1 in 3 kids will be hurt playing sports. So? The poor little things. Actually we would be better off if that number was 2 in 3. Get out there and get banged up. It gets you ready for real life. The one that doesn’t get hurt playing sports can major in Art History in college.
Michelle Obama has announced that she is not considering a run for the presidency when her husband is through trashing America. Whew! What a relief! Yet another reason I was overserved last night.
If you’re planning on putting a label on an appliance, please note that the Federal Trade Commission demands that that label be printed on paper stock for pressure-sensitive or other adhesive labels with a basic weight of not less than 58 pounds per 500 sheets (25” x 38”) or equivalent, exclusive of the release liner and adhesive, and the minimum peel adhesion capacity for the adhesive must be 12 ounces per square inch. So there.
Do you think that today might be the day Dear Ruler actually campaigns on his accomplishments during his first four years. Now THAT would be a short speech.
Percentage of Americans who know that Republicans control the House of Representatives … 43%. Percentage of Americans who know the NFL Draft is now underway in New York City …87%
In 2012 independents are likely to comprise the highest proportion of the electorate since 1976. Obama needs them. Now all Obama needs to do is to figure out how to get them on food stamps.
Confused about Fast & Furious? Just remember this. This whole thing started because some folks in the Obama administration thought that if they could get some guns into the hands of the drug cartels in Mexico they could then create a phony chain of possession for those guns back to gun dealers in America, thus giving them a purely manufactured platform for a campaign against guns and 2nd Amendment rights in America. Give this menace four more years and they’ll try to finish the job.
According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) a decision by you, as an employer, to require a high school diploma of a job applicant can be illegally discriminatory. Yup! Maybe that person has a learning disability! And if they do, you can’t discriminate against them?
When will someone ask Barack Obama whether or not he ever wrote a law review article for the Harvard Law Review? Seems like he never did write such an article; and that makes him the first President of the Harvard Law Review in the history of Harvard Law School to have not actually written a law review article. That pretty much mirrors his Nobel Peace Prize, don’t you think? Then again .. a “sort of a God” really doesn’t need to write law review articles. He IS the law.
And while we’re on the unpleasant subject of Barack Obama --- he was NEVER a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago or at any other institution. That’s just another media-promote myth about Dear Ruler.
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
