The Convention Next Week

We are packing up to head to Tampa for the RNC convention next week.  Despite the threat of Isaac, we won’t be packing umbrellas – some brainiacs running the RNC have apparently banned them.  Wunderful.

Apparently Joe Biden has decided that he is going to increase the amount of time he spends in Tampa.  Good.  Like I’ve said before … the more we have this footstool parading around, the more evident it will be that we need to make a change in November.  Also, there is generally an unofficial protocol that the opposing political party set politics aside while the other party hosts its convention.  The Obama propaganda team has decided that it will not follow this precedent.  They are planning a “full-scale assault on Republicans next week,” according to The Hill.

I’m not shocked in the least.  The Democrats are in desperation mode, and they are willing to do just about anything to keep the spotlight off the SCOAMF occupying the White House.  They will also do anything they can to keep the focus off of the economy.  I’ll bet the Media Research Center or some outfit out there has done the comparison of news coverage of Todd Akin’s boneheaded comment about “legitimate rape” compared to the new CBO analysis saying that our current economic trajectory is going to send us back into a recession.  The ObamaMedia is much more likely to carry the story which hurts the GOP and masks the true failure of Obama’s presidency.
