Democrats just love to make declarations of war. During the campaign, it was the Republicans’ war on women. Remember that? And yes … some Republican men with their obsessions with women’s wombs did add fuel to that fire.
But now that we are arguing over this fiscal cliff, Democrats have proclaimed that the GOP is waging a war on working people! That’s right … Sheila Jackson Lee says that she would “like our Republican friends to stop a war on the working people of America. That is what the ultimate non-action [on the fiscal cliff] will impact. Those are the people who will be impacted.”
If Sheila Jackson Lee really wants to talk about a war on working people, she needs to look no further than Barack Obama and her own Democrat Party. Under Obama’s rule, the median net worth of American households has dropped to a 43-year low. Not to mention the impending tax increases as a result of ObamaCare will be the largest tax increase to impact working Americans in history. It’s already begun. The latest example is Walmart, the largest employer in the nation, will no longer offer health insurance for part-time employees thanks to ObamaCare. Liberals will tell you that this is Wal-Mart waging a war of working people. That’s proggies showing how ignorant they are. Walmart did not create ObamaCare; it is merely reacting to policy and doing what is best for its business. After all, the purpose of a business is to make money, not to offer employees health insurance. Proggies think that’s insensitive, but it’s the painful truth. If Walmart DIDN’T do what it needed to in order to protect its business and generate a profit, then there wouldn’t be any Walmarts for long … then all of those working people will be without a job.
War on working people? Just what would you call hitting America’s jobs producers with higher taxes! Obama is OBSESSED with raising taxes on the very people the poor depend on for employment? Do you think poor people walk up to other poor people to ask for a job? Who do they look to? Business owners, that’s who! And Obama’s class-warfare tax increase will directly hit small business owners who employ over 50% of all workers in this country not employed by government .. and who are creating 70% and more of all new private sector jobs! Obama has declared war on the private sector jobs creators --- and that is a war against working people by ANY definition.
Don’t expect Sheila Jackson Lee to be able to grasp a concept like this, though. That loon thinks Neil Armstrong left an American flag not on the moon, but on MARS.
