Absolutely he would.  Without a doubt.  In fact, I believe that this is the result he wants. 

First .. we have his psychotic obsession with raising taxes on the rich.  I’ve handled this topic here before … but Obama wants to raise taxes on the evil rich not to raise revenue (though that is his excuse) but because he firmly believes that these rich people do not deserve that money.  In Obama’s mind those rich people got that money by exploiting and oppressing other people, and it MUST be taken away from them and redistributed to the people they oppressed to make things FAIR.

Here’s what Obama knows.  He has said that he will not even talk to Speaker Boehner about the fiscal cliff until the Republicans agree to raise tax rates on the rich.  He knows without a shadow of a doubt that if the GOP doesn’t cave on increased tax rates, and if the taxes DO go up on everybody in 26 days, the media will --- GUARANTEED --- join with Obama in blaming the Republicans for the whole mess.  The fiscal cliff will NOT be cause by Obama insisting on tax increases … increases that would bring in enough money to run our country for eight days … but by the Republicans protecting their millionaire and billionaire friends.

Count on it.
