It’s been a while since Ditzy Debbie G has graced us with her brilliant analysis and insight. So let’s get right to it.
Debbie just couldn’t resist using her favorite word: extreme! She labels the GOP candidates as “extreme” for their positions on ObamaCare. Just because most Americans may agree with the entitlements set-forth in ObamaCare doesn’t make Republicans extreme for wanting to repeal it. That’s why we are not a democracy, ruled by the majority. We are a nation of laws, governed by the Constitution. Is ObamaCare constitutional? Ditzy Debbie G doesn’t seem too worried about that … only about the entitlements that Americans would supposedly be denied without it.
Ditzy Debbie G also has some thoughts on Republican energy policy. Echoing Barack Obama, she says that “the Republican field, like Mitt Romney, thinks that we just need to remain tethered and dependent on foreign oil because all they would do is more and more drilling, which is a very shortsighted approach and it would do nothing to prevent people who are struggling to put $80 into their gas tanks to be able to make sure that that’s more affordable.” Drilling would do nothing? Yeah … right. Exploring for more oil would do nothing. Wow.
Debbie G goes on to say that we have more domestic energy production in the United States today than we have ever had … no thanks to Obama, because drilling on federal lands is down 40%! She says, “We have investments in alternative energy, we are making sure that when it comes to solar and wind and other kinds of renewable fuels that Barack Obama is talking about, making sure we make those kinds of investments.” You mean like the stellar achievements we’ve made in biofuel, ethanol, or solar (Solyndra .. anyone)? Oh … and did you hear the news this morning? Another solar energy company, this one connected to a relative of Joe Biden, is going bankrupt. This is what happens when companies don’t match consumer demand with a viable and affordable product. Obama whish to change that. Consumer demand means nothing. Political demands mean everything. That’s our future under Obama --- a command economy; commanded from the top down instead from the consumer up.
But wait! There’s more! Delusional Debbie, who accusing the Republicans of being “out of touch,” tried to convince MSNBC that she is part of the middle class. Too bad her $174,000 congressional salary is more than three times greater than the median salary for individuals in her own district which is $54,194.
